Set amid peaceful countryside, this beautifully converted property offers a warm and welcoming base for visitors to North Yorkshire. Located near the market towns of Bedale and Richmond, and within 15 miles of the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Nidderdale, it makes a wonderful base for couples and small families. Part of a small complex of holiday properties near the picturesque village of Crakehall, it can be booked with one or more of the other cottages to accommodate larger groups.
Arranged over two storeys, this is a light and airy property with large, arched windows and high-quality fixtures and furnishings, adorned in neutral hues with warm pops of colour. The horseshoe-shaped lounge/kitchen/diner provides the perfect backdrop to evenings of entertaining and relaxing. Rustle up family favourites in the well-equipped kitchen, then gather around the dining table or throw open the patio doors to dine al fresco in the courtyard. Deep sofas, a warming wood burner and a Smart TV invite cosy evenings in the lounge, and the whole place is nice and toasty thanks to sustainable underfloor heating. When night falls, head upstairs where two elegant bedrooms await; choose between a king-size and a twin, both with en suites. This property benefits from a private patio, along with access to a shared courtyard, paddock and bike storage space, along with allocated parking for two vehicles.
A friendly village pub and shop offer the basics in the picturesque village of Crakehall (1 mile), with more amenities in the bustling market towns of Bedale and Richmond (3 and 10.5 miles respectively).
