The Trail Retreat - 5 mi from Paris Island and 1 mi from Downtown

The Trail Retreat can sleep 8 and is a little slice of heaven less than 5 miles from Parris Island. You will have the chance to sit by the fire pit or take a one block stroll to the Spanish Moss Trail. The Spanish Moss Trail, is a ten-mile paved path that follows the former Magnolia Rail Line through the best of South Carolina's Lowcountry landscape. The trail starts in an old rail station near Depot Road and carries you over creeks, through expansive wetlands, and amid stately neighborhoods shaded by live oaks thick with the iconic Spanish moss. This home is the perfect spot to enjoy all that Beaufort has to offer. Being conveniently located downtown and a short distance to Parris Island no matter what brings you to Beaufort you will be close to it. This is a great spot for Parris Island Graduations!

This is a three bedroom private home nestled in a beautiful neighborhood with a gorgeous live oak in the front yard. It has a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, Keurig as well as washer and dryer. One bedroom has a queen bed. One bedroom has a King bed. While the final bedroom has a twin bed with a twin trundle bed. The couch is a sofa sleeper and can easily be pulled out to maximize the capacity of the home.

Filthy Place

The house was absolutely filthy which had nothing to do with the storm that rolled through a week earlier. The back wooden deck was rotted and my chair leg went through the deck as I was sitting in it. We stripped the beds and washed everything when we got there because absolutely EVERYTHING was filthy. Shane tried to state the condition of the deck was storm related but it was from years of neglect as every time it rained it pored from the roof onto the deck as there were no gutters on the back of the house. I lived in Beaufort for 17 years so I’m well aware of what storms there can do to properties but the absolute filth in this home had nothing to do with the storm, it hadn’t been cleaned in over a year given the amount of dust and dirt that had collected on everything. I will never rent from this company again

Absolutely stunning, great for family gatherings

Beautiful family get away. From Ohio. Came to via older daughter and grandkids in SC with other kids. Perfect for vacation and relaxation. Close to town and beach. Shops and restaurants not far drive. Clean, stocked and updated, host was very communicative on response fast. We will be back yearly!!!

A fantastic retreat!

At the last minute we decided to cancel out hotel and vrbo at the Trailside retreat, excellent location in Beaufort close to town and for us Parris Island as we were going to family day and graduation. The host was superb and offered great recommendations. The home was perfect with all the amenities that you would need at home away from home. Sad we did not have the luxury of a few extra days to exlpore the area. Highly recommend!

A Great Experience

We were in Beaufort to attend our son’s military funeral. Shane and Lisa were wonderful hosts, even leaving flowers and a sympathy card for us on arrival. House itself was immaculate and included everything we needed for our stay. Great location in Beaufort, also. Everything we needed was less than 15 minutes away.

Great place for a long weekend trip

First time ever going to Beaufort and wasn’t sure what to expect. My husband and I brought my three teenage boys and we had a blast. The house is conveniently located to town (and town has all the necessities and plenty of yummy restaurants and places to shop). It was about a half hour to Hunting Beach State Park which was a great way to spend a morning, playing in the warm Atlantic waves. The Spanish moss trail is nearby and next time we are bringing bikes or scooters so we can see more of it, so beautiful! The house was nicely stocked with all we needed to cook some of our meals, do our laundry and even play games on a super rainy evening. Everything was clean, communication with Shane was quick and helpful, and we all enjoyed a good nights rest each night. Can’t wait to come back!
