For larger gatherings, Nana’s Cabin can be rented together with the neighboring Vallecito Family Retreat to comfortably accommodate extended family or friends, giving your group extra space while still staying close. Whether you're here for a summer lake escape or a colorful fall getaway, Nana’s Cabin offers a peaceful home base to create lasting memories in the Colorado mountains.

NOTE: The common area is located in the middle of the 2 upper-level bedrooms, so you do walk thru it to get access to those bedrooms. But it is private in that it does not have an overlook to anything on the main level.

AMENITION YOU'LL LOVE:
•Outdoors, the front deck is large enough for the whole group to enjoy the woods that surround the home.  Also in front of the home, is a large, grassy lawn with picnic table.  There is room to park multiple cars plus space to park the trailer for boats, ATVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles.  

PETS: This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone.

LOCATION:
•This mountain home is in the heart of the Vallecito Lake Resort community located near the north end of the lake, which is a very convenient location to all lake area activities including boating, fishing, water skiing, hiking, horseback riding, road cycling, mountain biking, motorcycle riding (dirt and street), hunting in the fall, snowmobiling and more. There is also the ‘locals favorite’ cross country skiing trail along the Eastern edge of the lake, which is groomed all winter for both classic skiing and skate skiing. Appx 30 miles to downtown Durango and 55 miles to Purgatory Ski Resort.

GOOD TO KNOW:
• Consistent with most Colorado mountain areas, the home does not offer air-conditioning.
• Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

VRC CANCELLATION POLICY: If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
