Si vous cherchez quelque chose hors des sentiers battus, vous avez trouvĂ©! Out Ă  la pointe nord de l'Ăźle du Cap-Breton, en Nouvelle-Écosse, le gĂźte est situĂ© Ă  Saint- Le village de Margaret, dans la baie Saint- Laurent. Du pont avant 8x28 pieds vous avez une, dĂ©gagĂ©e, vue panoramique sous-dĂ©veloppĂ©s comme le soleil se couche dans l'ocĂ©an. En saison, vous pourrez profiter du homard ou de crabe des neiges locale pris dans la baie en face de vous.

Non loin de la Cabot Trail, le gĂźte est une bonne base pour le golf au Highland Links Ă  Ingonish (l'un des cours les meilleurs dans le monde), l'observation des baleines ou la pĂȘche en haute mer de la jetĂ©e des pĂȘcheurs Ă  proximitĂ© ou de la randonnĂ©e dans les Highlands Festival . Parc national de Cape Breton Highlands est Ă  seulement 10 miles de lĂ , oĂč il ya des sentiers de randonnĂ©e et autres activitĂ©s de l'Ă©tĂ©. Nos points de la famille au moins une orignal et une ours dans ce parc chaque annĂ©e! Ce est un plaisir pour les enfants!

Droit dans le village est un centre communautaire avec un accÚs Internet (ainsi que le ping-pong pour les enfants et un panier de basket). Il ya une épicerie locale avec toutes les bases. Tout prÚs du centre communautaire est un stand de crÚme glacée qui est idéal pour un dßner rapide ainsi.

Ce est un paradis de ornithologues. Suivre les aigles planent, les guillemots volent dans et hors des falaises ci-dessous ou les fous de Bassan plongent dans l'ocĂ©an depuis le chalet. Vous pourriez mĂȘme voir la gousse occasionnelle de baleines dans la baie pendant que vous asseoir dĂ©tente ou en lisant sur le pont.

Wow, what a wonderful spot on this earth

Small, cozy cabin at the end of the world. What a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved it. The kitchen is well equipped and we didn‘t miss anything. The beds were comfortable and we loved having 2 rooms (a snoring problem), yet so close next to each other. We would always love to come again. Great little harbor with lots of lobster fishing going on. The supermarket is right in the little village and well equipped.

Excellent property, exactly as shown in the add

We had a great time at the cottage. It was clean and has everything you need. We spent our days walking the beach and hiking some local trails. Afterwards, you can walk down to the wharf and buy lobster right off the boat. We did and loved it! For us it was a bit overcast for a good sunset but it would be a great spot to view from. If you want a secluded fishing community for some peace and quiet, while still having a lot of sites to see, this is it.

Loved this rustic cabin on the ocean

We were looking for a place off the beaten path, and this suited us very well. Although we went out for lunch and dinner, the place was well provisioned and you could certainly cook meals there. Enjoyed the French Press coffeemaker, but there was a drip pot too if that's your preference. Everything was very clean.Note that if you are staying outside of the July/August season like we did, the close-by eating options (Sea Shack, Bay Cafe, Chucky's) are not open, so be prepared to head down to Morrison's or Angie's. We did have the pizza from ACA and it was very good.The water is pumped in from a well, which means that the water goes off when the electricity goes off, so fill a few pots of water so you have them when necessary.

Great getaway

Absolutely beautiful location, remote without being incredibly isolated. Great spot for access to hiking, biking, or just laying low. It had everything you need with a general store nearby, a kitchen and fridge, good shower, etc.

THE BEST

I fell in love with this place. Location, location, location! There's no Italian marble in the bathroom. If you want to cook a huge dinner for guests, you're pretty much out of luck. There's no huge TV or luxury living room, and it's not in a swanky neighborhood. This has something much more valuable than any of those things: seclusion. I stayed here at the end of October. It took me over 3 hours to get from Cheticamp because of an early-season snowstorm. The next day I sat looking out the kitchen window at hailstorms, snow squalls and even a couple waterspouts go by. The little house creaked and groaned. I felt like I was at the end of the earth. But it was warm and safe and I could finally concentrate on my writing. My dog Auggie and I loved going to Cabot Landing beach, and had a bunch of apples from the trees along the driveway. We also liked exploring the little ATV trails around the house that go down to the harbor. At night, you can see the lights from the tankers and freighters going through the St. Lawrence Seaway. Meghan is an exemplary host and is quick to respond to inquiries. The only thing I didn't like about her is that she wouldn't sell me this gem of a property because it was '...in her family for generations..." or some such nonsense . Anyway, this place is truly special. I hope to visit it someday in the summer when the restaurants and other facilities are open.

This cottage was just perfect! It had plenty of towels and wash/dish cloths, dishes and beds were comfy. We stayed most days and nights on the deck.....what a view.....You won't regret staying here!! Little grocery store down the toad was just right. w.

Great Fall Vacation

We spent 3 nights at this lovely, secluded cottage. Has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Is the perfect place to unwind. The manager was very understanding when we were late with our second payment. Thankyou! We were disappointed not to be able to walk to the top of the bluff in front of the cottage. The posted picture is misleading. Otherwise, a great stay!!

Just What I Needed

I felt like I needed to get away from everything. This place was PERFECT. I even signed up for an extra day. The place had everything I needed, and communication was excellent. The view was gorgeous, and my pup loved the mowed patch out back for spontaneous fetch sessions. Cabot Landing blew his little Chocolate Lab mind! The first thing I did when I got home was try to figure out when I could get back there.

Amazing spot

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location was spectacular with gorgeous sunsets and so private. The cottage had everything we needed to cook some meals and enjoy the evenings on the deck. We used it as a base to explore the park and nearby beaches and hikes. Everyone we met and communicated with - the owners and the caretaker - were incredibly helpful and responsive. It's definitely on our list for a return visit!

Worth the Drive - Trust Us!

This is our second summer visit to this beautiful cottage, and we've already booked for next year! Amazing space stocked with everything you need. The cottage has stunning views from all directions and in the most beautiful place in the world. Beaches, hikes, the national park, whales! Truly a gem.

Wonderful 6 nights

Very thankful for the opportunity to stay at this property. Secluded, very clean and a more than adequate kitchen will make your stay enjoyable. We enjoyed all of the sight seeing to do right in the bay outside the home. Whales, seals, bald eagles, birds, rabbits and boats of all sizes are always coming or going. I would recommend buying a nice pair of binoculars as I sat outside for hours just watching the ocean at a distance. House furnishings are amicable and the beds were semi comfortable for our expectations. Just remember, you are paying for the seclusion so you will be a great distance drive wise from many of the places on the island which was perfect for us. Sydney etc are close to a 3 hour drive and Cheticamp was close to 90 minutes. Great places to eat in Cape North and Meat cove had a wonderful lobster roll. Thanks again

Sept stay

Our stay was absolutely terrific although the weather was not the greatest (Hurrican Lee!). We loved the location and the small fishing village where the property is located is so beautiful. I just can't say enough about the area. The house was so comfortable, clean and in a spot that is gorgeous. We loved it. We will come back if the owners will have us!!!

The most magical place

We stayed at this property for the last two weeks of August 2023. It was the most wonderful holiday. The cottage is perfect (amazing views, comfy beds, great water pressure, fully stocked with the necessities) and the area is exceptionally beautiful. You can wake up to the sunrise and watch the sunset from the back deck. The cottage is surrounded by wildflowers, hares, mountains, birds of prey and various other creatures. There is a (fantastic) whale watching boat tour that leaves from the harbor, which is about 5 minutes from the cottage. There is great food and good grocery options about 20 minutes drive away from the cottage. The beaches and coast are beautiful and there is tons to do in the National Park, also very very nearby. The wifi has also been upgraded since some previous posts and was super fast and reliable. We're heading back here next summer and are already looking forward to it.

The most stunning view in Nova Scotia

We have been staying here for years and adore it and Bay St. Lawrence. Stunning views in all types of weather and the charming cottage is perfectly set up for a week or longer stay. We hike, blueberry pick, whale watch (have spotted from the deck many times), fish, golf kayak, swim and enjoy the local restaurants. We will be back (again)!

Breathtaking views and a return to the simple life


This was our 2nd visit back to this amazing part of the world, and we loved it. The location is perfect for an East coast experience, and the cabin is simple and very comfortable with all of the basics covered
it is the exact balance that we want to unplug and unwind, and we will certainly will continue to cherish our time there for years to come!! We wouldn’t change a thing and would highly recommend this gem!

Great Vacation Place If you enjoy Peace and Quiett.

Well MY MY MY!. What a cozy cottage with alot of charm. The view from the deck was amazing. Got to watch the boats,birds and occasionally a whale. Quiet town with some kind people that helped us out when we needed it. The peace and quiet was so relaxing. I almost đŸ€Ł when we left, I didn't want to go. WE LOVED IT

Exhilarating long view

We have had the privilege of staying at this cottage several time over the years and there is a reason we keep coming back. If you long for peace in a pristinely clean little cottage that has long views looking out over the bay, perfect sunsets, blueberries and rabbits on the hill that your cottage is perched, fresh seafood, mountain hikes, a deck to read on - than this is your heaven! We have only ever had great experiences here and memories that sustain us year after year! This year we saw pilot whales and a RIGHT WHALE from the deck. We could actually HEAR the whales. I mean, come ON.
