Salle d'eau avec douche et toilettes. Galerie avec lit double (5 pi) (fermeture à glissière et lien pouvant être jumelé) et plafond en pente avec hauteur libre limitée. Des poutres partout. . Deux propriétés: poêle à bois électrique dans le salon inclus. Chauffage central au fuel, électricité, draps et serviettes inclus. Voyage lit et chaise haute sur demande. Télévision par satellite. DVD. CD. Cuisinière électrique. Four micro onde. Machine à laver partagée dans le bâtiment externe. Réfrigérateur. Wifi. Jardin partagé. Coin salon et mobilier. Barbecue. Champs partagés de 14 acres et terres agricoles. Parking (2 voitures). Magasin de cycle. Pack de bienvenue. Les animaux de compagnie doivent être tenus en laisse sur les terres agricoles. Ne pas fumer. NB: Bassin d'ornement non clôturé, 3 mètres .. Ces deux jolies maisons de vacances mitoyennes avec poutres apparentes (réf. 27442 et 27443) avec mezzanine, ont été converties de manière attrayante à partir d’anciennes berges et sont situées dans la petite exploitation de 14 acres des propriétaires qui abrite des animaux de la ferme, y compris des moutons. et des cochons. Sur place se trouve une aire de jeux pour les petits enfants. Une promenade de 10 minutes à travers les champs vous amène à Sedlescombe avec son village verdoyant et son pub de campagne traditionnel. À proximité de Battle, avec son célèbre champ de bataille et son abbaye, construite pour commémorer la bataille de Hastings en 1066. Revivez l'un des jours les plus célèbres de l'histoire et rejoignez la promenade 1066 depuis le pas de la porte. Faites un voyage sur les chemins de fer de la Kent et de l’East Sussex depuis Tenterden (surnommé «le joyau du Weald»), en passant par le Rother Levels jusqu’à Bodiam, l’un des châteaux les plus évocateurs (NT), construit en 1385. Découvrez la ville côtière de contrebande de Hastings et la ville médiévale de Rye, port du Cinque Port, avec ses rues pavées. Des dunes de sable pittoresques et une faune intéressante peuvent être explorés à Camber. Boutique, pub et restaurant 1 mile. Les propriétés 27442 et 27443 peuvent être réservées ensemble pour accueillir jusqu'à 4 personnes.

Anyone tall would struggle in the bedroom area due to the pitch of the roof and the rafters! Plenty to do in the surrounding area and a lovely pub within walking distance.

A lovely well equipped cottage , hosted by the very friendly Andrew & penny thank you for the excellent flap jacks & tomatoes. As mentioned by others the stairs to the bedroom are quite steep but didn’t find them a problem. My only little niggle was the television had no connection for a fire stick so maybe an upgrade in that area . Overall excellent place to stay would definitely book here again .

This was our first experience of using cottages.com and for our first stay Quince Cottage couldn’t have been better.Penny met us at the gate, introduced us to the cottage, gave us an invaluable brief on the surrounding area. And the homemade flapjacks were a treat!Knowing we had a nice cosy cottage to come back to at the end of our daily trips out was an absolute comfort.Thank you Penny!

This is a lovely and well presented cottage. The hosts are very welcoming with even a cake left for us. The cottage is well equipped, clean and ideally located for the visiting places in Sussex, including Battle Abbey, Rye and Bodiam castle. If you are tall or do not like steep stairs then this is not for you since the bedroom is an attic mezzanine, but is very cosy. We knew this when we booked, so it was not a major problem. Lovely, warm cottage. Compact, but with everything you need. Enclosed courtyard garden shared with cottage next door. Comfy bed and furniture. All spotlessly clean. Great to have fields accessible to walk dog direct from cottage and local pub serving food. Owners were very helpful. Only slight negative thing was pulling out onto the busy A21, but would certainly come and stay here again. An absolute haven of peace and quiet.

An absolute haven of peace and quiet. I loved being woken by the sheep. Being on the A21 means it is an ideal location for touring the area. The cottage was small and cosy and had everything I could possibly have wanted. Great use of space and excellent facilities. It was absolutely spotless. The owners could not have been more welcoming. Very welcoming hosts, lovely clean accommodation. Slight annoyance that the cottage next door also had dogs which meant ours had to be tied up all the time as the front courtyard was shared. It was extremely hot during our stay and the owner kindly lent us a fan however there didn’t appear to be a socket in the bedroom so my wife slept on the sofa. However it was only on day 3 we realised there was an extension lead plugged in under the bed which did the job. All in all however a lovely few days away and we’d recommend. Andrew & Penny were the perfect hosts - they were very welcoming and supportive throughout our stay, especially when we needed to get veterinary advice for one of our dogs at the local vets in Battle. The farm location was brilliant and so relaxing, with a short walk to the bottom of Sedlescombe village & a number of pretty woods nearby for off lead walking. The cottage is very cosy and peaceful, the bed and sofa very comfortable & the shower was spacious and powerful, which makes all the difference. We enjoyed visiting old haunts in Hastings Old Town, Bexhill, Battle, Rye & Camber, eating some fresh seafood and fish and walking on the beach. Many thanks!

Having never experienced a cottage holiday; with the dog before - we were pleasantly surprised.

Having never experienced a cottage holiday; with the dog before - we were pleasantly surprised. Can not fault our hosts; so friendly and on hand if any issues. The cottage is situated within the farm; had an enclosed courtyard which was excellent for the dog and we also be for young children. Following on the cottage came with three enclosed paddocks which were completely dog friendly which had been allocated for guests. The cottage had a warm and comfort feel, no problems with coping with a large dog / two adults - plenty of room both up and downstairs. Excellent network connections.Came away very relaxed. Would highly recommend and we are hoping to return again. Thankyou

Nice holiday cottage just off main road so there was some traffic noise. Quite steep stairs to the bedroom and limited head room because of the sloping roof/eaves also no window so I imagine it would get hot and stuffy in the summer though there was an electric fan provided. Nice walk across field to village and pub on a sunny day but as we had quite a lot of rain it became quite soggy and as the grass was long your trousers ended up getting wet too, shame there was no safe other walking route to village.

Quince cottage is a small and very clean accommodation.

Quince cottage is a small and very clean accommodation. It is well situated to access Hastings. There was a large field available for the dog to run in and it was lovely to see the chickens and give the pig a brush when we were passing! We were disappointed that there wasn't a DVD player available but not the end of the world on a two night break. Be aware that the upstairs room is in the roof and therefore quite tight for headroom!
