The Space:

This beautiful holiday let is set in a tranquil woodland location, designed to make the most of its stunning natural surroundings. At the heart of the home, the living room features a striking stone-set fireplace (for aesthetic use only), adding rustic charm and character that perfectly complements the woodland setting. Ample comfortable seating makes it an inviting space to relax and unwind.



The kitchen is filled with wooden units and unique flooring, offering plenty of space for cooking and preparation. Its open-plan layout flows seamlessly into the dining area, which provides generous seating for meals and entertaining, making it the perfect space for social gatherings.

Parking for two vehicles is available in front of the house, with further parking available for two cars at the bottom of the driveway.



The property is accessed via a private driveway and is set in a quiet woodland location. Mobile signal can vary due to the rural setting, but this adds to the peaceful, secluded feel of the stay.



One well behaved dog is welcome at the property, however due to its closeness to open water, it is not suitable for children.



The Neighborhood:

Milltown is a peaceful hamlet on the edge of Barnstaple, offering a quiet rural setting while remaining conveniently close to the heart of North Devon. Surrounded by rolling countryside, the area has a relaxed, unspoilt feel, making it ideal for those who enjoy calm surroundings without feeling remote.



Barnstaple town centre is just a short drive away and is known for its historic Pannier Market, riverside walks along the Taw, independent shops, cafés and a wide range of local amenities. The location is well placed for exploring the wider region, with excellent road links connecting you to the coast, countryside and nearby villages.



Some of North Devon’s most popular beaches, including Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Croyde, are within easy reach, offering long sandy stretches, coastal walks and surfing spots. To the east and north, Exmoor National Park provides dramatic landscapes, moorland walks and scenic viewpoints, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.



Milltown’s position makes it an ideal base for experiencing the best of North Devon, combining countryside tranquillity with quick access to beaches, market towns and natural beauty.



Getting Around:

Milltown enjoys a convenient yet peaceful position just outside Barnstaple, making it easy for visitors to travel to and from the area while still enjoying a rural Devon setting.



By car, Milltown is well connected via local roads linking directly into Barnstaple, where the A361 North Devon Link Road provides a straightforward route to the M5 motorway and onward travel to Exeter and the wider South West. The A39 Atlantic Highway is also easily accessible, offering scenic journeys along the North Devon coast and connections to nearby towns and villages. These road links make exploring beaches, countryside and attractions across the region simple and flexible.



Public transport options are close at hand. Local bus services run from nearby stops into Barnstaple town centre, where a main bus station offers frequent routes across North Devon, including services to coastal destinations such as Braunton, Ilfracombe, Bideford and Westward Ho! There are also long-distance coach services from Barnstaple to other parts of the UK.



For rail travel, Barnstaple railway station provides regular services on the Tarka Line to Exeter St David’s, connecting with mainline routes to London, the Midlands and beyond. From the station, onward travel to Milltown is easy by taxi or local bus.
