Authentic 19th-Century Charm in the Heart of Barcelona
This charming 19th-century apartment is centrally located in Barcelonaâs Eixample district, just a 13-minute walk from the city center. The neighborhood is lively but authentic, with many restaurants, tapas bars, and everyday shops that give you the feeling of being part of the city rather than just visiting. Despite its central position, the area is less crowded with tourists, so you can enjoy a more local atmosphere while still being close to major attractions. Several subway and bus lines nearby make it easy to reach the beach or other parts of the city, and I am always just a phone call away should you need any assistance during your stay.
The apartment itself is a beautiful blend of history and comfort, occupying the first floor of a traditional 19th-century building. It offers 110 square meters of living space plus a private 40-square-meter patio, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The home has been faithfully restored following the original floor plan and style, with high 3.3-meter ceilings featuring original plaster moldingsâthree of them polychromeâand colorful hydraulic tile floors, but with thoughtful modern touches to ensure comfort. Bright and spacious, it includes a welcoming living room, a dining area, and four bedrooms, all equipped with air conditioning and wardrobes. Three of the bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, while the fourth has a bathroom in the hallway. Two bedrooms face the street, but thanks to double-glazed windows they remain quiet, while the other two face the interior and offer a peaceful rest. The apartment can accommodate up to five guests, with four double beds, one of which can be converted into two singles, ensuring flexibility for families or groups traveling together.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, including a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, and a full-size refrigerator. For longer stays or added convenience, the apartment also has a washer and dryer. Entertainment options are plentiful, with four televisionsâlocated in the living room and three bedroomsâoffering international satellite channels, as well as access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the apartment, making it easy to work remotely or stay connected with friends and family during your stay.
One of the apartmentâs highlights is the large private patio, a rare find in such a central location, where you can enjoy a quiet breakfast, an evening glass of wine, or simply unwind in the open air.
Please note that Barcelonaâs tourist tax is not included in the rental price and must be paid separately: âŹ6.25 per person per night (for guests 17 years or older), rising to âŹ8.50 per person per night starting October 1st, applicable for up to seven nights. Additionally, in compliance with Catalan law, all legal tourist accommodations are required to collect guest information from identity documents or passports prior to arrival. This is a standard procedure and ensures a safe and legal stay.
