Great stay! The host was great and gave us detailed instructions so it was easy to find the parking and the entrance. The entire building was nice and the room was modern and clean. The location was right in the middle of everything. A lot of little unique shops and good restaurants. If you’re visiting for a concert it’s a short and simple 1 mile walk with sidewalks to the venue. Highly recommend.

Extremely Disappointing

There were a number of issues with this property. I attempted multiple times to address them with the host, and was met with gaslighting, no response or empty promises. The issues were: No heat/climate control for the entirety of our stay. No wireless/internet for the majority of our stay The front door knob broke the first night as we were leaving for dinner, making it difficult to open the door and unsafe in the event of an emergency. Closet door was off the hinges and lying on the ground when we arrived. Water damage/peeling and bubbling paint in the kitchen Missing blinds on window overlooking a busy street and other apartments No light in common hallways leading to the apartment, making it unsafe to arrive/leave after dark Promise of "maintenance " being contacted but nothing was addressed Unresponsive/ineffective owner who couldn't/wouldn't address issues. All of these issues were brought to the attention of the host the first afternoon, most within the first hour of us arriving and yet we still had the same issues as we left. We would have booked a hotel, but it was UMaine parents weekend and most everything was sold out. We filed a complaint with VRBO, but this host is being "unresponive" to their attempts to communicate. This is an unsafe and uncomfortable unit, and should be removed from listing until the issues are reasonably resolved.

Just ok

Wifi didn't work. Reached out to manager who responded bk promptly but this was not the first second third or fourth time I'd had an issue with the Wi-Fi at there properties. Always an excuse. Never want to admit fault or wrong doing a d never any type of refund .

A neat experience

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and picked this property because it looked suitable for where we wanted to be from a location standpoint. The room was nice and I think we both enjoyed the historic aspect of the building. The property manager was exceptional in regards to responses while we were there. I don’t think I waited more than a minute or two for her to get back to me on anything. Couple things that I feel could be addressed for the future. Our bed was an air mattress which isn’t the most desirable for people approaching 50 years old. The fitness center was also closed during our stay which I was hoping could have been communicated in the listing. All in all, those two items did not ruin our enjoyment of Bangor or the apartment. I would definitely come back and stay at this property.

Highly recommend!

My husband and I just wanted a to take a little weekend trip for our first wedding anniversary. My husband collects older gaming systems (specifically Nintendo) and when I saw this listing I thought it would be perfect to surprise him with! It was a very clean, quiet (other than the downtown traffic, but the space makes up for that), and the proximity to restaurants/stores was a bonus! The owners gave us our privacy but were at our fingertips if we needed anything! It was perfect for our stay and we were sad to leave!
