The Space:

At Ocean Vista Cottage, you will have spectacular unobstructed water views and marvel at the beautiful sunsets and wonderful rock formations. This beautiful and dog-friendly home is nestled on a bluff overlooking the untamed Pacific Ocean. The walk to the beach will take just a minute or two - you will be sharing the beach with aquatic birds and occasionally a seal. Alternatively, curl up with a book in the living room while you relax by a warm fire.



What's nearby:

Downtown Bandon is a short and convenient two and a half mile-drive and there you can find a plethora of dining options (seafood, pizza, Asian food, Mexican food, etc.), markets and convenience stores, and more! This charming city is also well-known for its historic lighthouse and the highly-acclaimed golf courses you can find at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort (eight miles away). You can find even more outdoor activities by the coastline that include horseback riding on the beach, fishing, crabbing, etc.

The location of the home was perfect. The views were amazing and we were so happy that it was pet friendly. This was truly a perfect getaway for our long weekend.The only constructive feedback I have is that we found the beds to be a little uncomfortable, however we realize this is very subjective. For us though, they were a little unstable, pillows a little flat, and the mattresses a little firm.

Worthy solely because of the view and location. Otherwise, a very dated home with older furnishings and a sub-optimal kitchen.

Amazing View

Truly unbelievable view of ocean across entire living and kitchen area of house. House is older, but has nice layout. Kitchen amenities exremly lacking making it difficult to cook meals. Not all burners on stove heated to normal temps.Only spices were picnic sized salt and pepper. One of the 2 beds was extremely uncomfortable. TV didnt work. Great pet friendly house. Really easy, close access to beach.I rented through VRBO app and then got messages from Vacasa about when we would get entry codes and wi-fi info and then we didnt receive the emails. I finally called the day before we were to arrive and then was sent access info. It was very confusing. I also didn't like that we paid rent, host fee (didn't have any contact with host as far as I know) and an admin fee to Vacasa.All in all the pluses outweighed the negatives. Weather was better than forecast and oh my goodness the view!!

Relaxing place to stay!

Wonderful place to stay if you’re looking to just sit back and relax and watch the waves. Amazing view, very clean and cozy. Fully equipped kitchen. Boards games, movies and puzzles if you need entertainment.

Great getaway by the beach

The house was nice and clean and the kitchen/dining/living area with windows overlooking the ocean were perfect. Nice little fenced yard for dogs. Great location right by beach access on a nice sandy stretch - and just a half mile walk up the beach to the cool rocks. Short drive into town for restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.Communication with Vacasa was great once we checked in; they’re a little slow to respond to questions ahead of time and we got some automated replies which wa a little frustrating.

Bandon beach getaway

Older property that is clean. It just has the basics, for the kitchen, bathroom, etc. Need to upgrade the TV subscription. The location is terrific and it is pet friendly.

Perfect location, good home

If you’re ok staying at a place that is a little bit dated but very clean, with two bedrooms and one shared bathroom, then this place is an excellent choice. The beds were firm as other reviewers have said but not rock hard IMO. The location and views are stunning. Walk to the beach in just 2 minutes and that’s only because there isn’t direct access from the property itself. The house sits literally facing the ocean and beach with no obstructed views, really perfect for sunsets!

Loved It - needs some upgrades

Location and view were wonderful. Beach access was great. Loved long walks in either direction. Easy drive just down the road to Bandon made dining & shopping fun. Property is dated and needs some love. So much potential! Bed was old & uncomfortable. Toilet was low enough for a daycare. Would go back with minor upgrades.

Amazing Spot!

The house was perfect. Great view of the ocean. Easy and close access to the beach. Close to downtown. The house was very clean and cozy. We wish we could have stayed longer.
