Located on Tait Lake, just a short 10-minute drive from the Town of Bancroft, this charming log cottage boasts expansive decks that offer beautiful views of its spacious lot, which includes an impressive 500 feet of shoreline.



Recently renovated throughout, the cottage features a vaulted ceiling in the open-concept kitchen, dining room, and living room, complete with a cozy gas fireplace and seamless access to the sprawling multi-level decks. For evening entertainment, guests can enjoy satellite TV with surround sound, a wide selection of DVDs, and a variety of games.

The primary bedroom is elegantly furnished with a queen bed, a private walkout deck, and a luxurious 3-piece ensuite with a combination rainfall/handheld shower in the bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen bed with brass accents, while the third bedroom offers both a double and a twin bed for versatile sleeping arrangements. The main bathroom boasts a spacious walk-in shower with a rainfall/handheld shower combo.



Situated on an elevated rocky outcrop, this cottage offers exceptional privacy. Meandering pathways and decks guide you down to the lake, where you`ll discover a path that winds along the entire 500 feet of shoreline. The water itself features a gradual sand/clay entry that gently slopes to deeper waters further out. Additionally, a public sand beach is just a convenient 5-minute stroll away, and for those with small boats, a public launch is also conveniently located just 5 minutes from the cottage.

We kindly request that guests provide their own linens and towels and that at the end of their stay, they take the time to do a thorough cleaning in order to make sure the property is kept to a high standard for the next guests, and to the same condition found upon your arrival.



We`re delighted to welcome children and infants to this cottage, and many happy families have visited! However, we want to stress the vital importance of providing close supervision at all times. It`s important to note that while the cottage is child-welcoming, it may not be specifically designed or equipped for your child`s individual needs. Therefore, we cannot guarantee or imply suitability tailored to your child(ren). To ensure their safety and well-being, we strongly recommend that children are closely supervised at all times throughout their stay. Our utmost priority is for everyone to have a fantastic and enjoyable time at our cottage!



Your dog would be fine so long he/she is picked up after, not left alone in the cottage or up on the furniture, and not allowed to bother the neighbours. He/she must also have a flea and tick collar or treatment.

Overall it was fine. Not luxury as the listing stated. Positives: Excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. Good little beach for kids, lots of water toys and equipment for various activities. Dock in good condition. Tait Lake was really clean and provided good opportunity for fishing. If you walk along the property line there are lots of frogs for interested kids. Lots of DVDs for adults and older kids some board games. Bring additional DVDs if you have little kids. Working washer and dryer on site. Located only a short drive away from Bancroft. The dump is also close by for garbage disposal. Areas for Improvement: The covered porch was not useable during the rain and leaked quite a bit. 2/3 Queen mattresses are rock hard- felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Single was okay. Couches are well used and sink in the centre. You can hear the traffic from the road when outside or when windows are open. You don’t have a clear view of the lake from anywhere except the dock. The property is somewhat overgrown and unkept. Broken chairs, stained outdoor furniture, etc. BBQ was not in great working condition, only the back section was in working order. Things to note: If you have mobility issues avoid this property. Very steep hill up and down to the lake. Bring additional dish cloths and hand towels for bathroom. Would recommend brining all linens and pillows as the ones supplied are in well used condition. Some looked moldy/stained.
