Le Corsair est un joyau de la forêt maritime avec cinq chambres et quatre salles de bains sur l'île Bald Head! Toute votre famille pourra profiter de beaucoup d’espace dans cette maison traditionnelle reposante et accueillante.

Entrez dans l'espace de vie gén������reux doté de plafonds voûtés et de beaucoup de lumi��re. This is the best house we've stayed at on BHI! The whole family loved it and the location on the island was perfect. It was especially sweet because we could bring our 4 legged family member! The golf carts were very nice, the house furnishings were perfect - not too fussy but not shabby - and the layout of the house was perfect for our family. We loved the screened in porch and all of the amenities that were provided throughout the house.

July 2021 Stay

Our family of 10 loves the setting and space of The Corsair. This is our second stay. Wendy Wilmot also provides bikes so that we did not have to bring our own or rent them once here. Housekeeping did an outstanding job or preparing this home for us. The kitchen is easily the best stocked one we have had in the 20 years we have vacationed on Bald Head. What a perfect week on the island!

The bunk bedroom made the two year old think he was sleeping in a boat! The en-suite bathrooms were also great, no one had to share.

Have stayed in different BHI homes for almost 20 years and this is definitely at the top . Overall in very good condition and clean . The golfcarts were great and quick with bright LED lights . This was a nice change from years of slow , dimly lit carts . Great location nearby the market which came in handy over the Thanksgiving holiday . Would stay here again :)

It is within walking distance of the Maritime Market, home of the best breakfast on the island. The addition of the ice machine was a definite plus. Cooling in the two downstairs bedrooms was a little less than satisfactory. The screened porch was a favorite space for morning coffee. A new grill and two bikes furnished by the realty company were welcome features. We love renting through Wendy Wilmott Properties!

Great home minus a few small details

Pro's: Location was great. Less than half a mile to the beach and market. Loved the central location. Lots of room. Very dog friendly! We loved all the little extra touches, like the dog seatbelts in the golf cart and the bowls/ dog beds. Decor was really classy. Loves the added touch of the coffee mugs and maps/ to do flyers. Cons: The house was great for the most part. There were a few things that could have been better. There was mold in the master bathroom shower. The master bath sink stopper didn't work and constantly stayed closed/ couldn't open it. The outdoor shower was gross, but we're on an island, and it's outside, so that's somewhat expected. One cart wouldn't hold a charge, but that was quickly fixed. The upstairs bunk room was incredibly hot. Pans to cook with were horrible, but again, to be expected with a rental. We were only there for a week, so we only contacted management for real problems, like the golf cart. We didn't want to spend our time in the house waiting for people to come fix things. All in all, great house. We'd rent again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is cute and in an excellent location with easy access to the grocery store and beach. However there were a few cons. Considering the house sleeps 10 I would have liked to have more seating in the living room. The kitchen is great for making meals. For the price I would have expected decent beach chairs but the ones provided were either moldy or rusty. And the golf carts aren’t in great condition. The larger one has no power steering. Overall it’s a cute house but I wouldn’t rent it again for a large group as we felt like we were on top of each other the whole time. Too many bedrooms and not enough living space.

Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Bald Head was wonderful with the exception of two marginal golf carts that gave us constant delays all week. I know how busy WW Rentals can be, and their response was prompt and courteous, but limited resolution on the carts! We should have been provided with at least ONE cart that ran and was not in need of constant attention. We own a golf course, we know what a functional god cart is and we shouldn't have to explain daily that the carts are old and unsafe(stirring on one was random and the other would not hold a charge). We rented a cart for the entire week because the rental company said "all their back up carts were out" and did not offer to provide one. I realize, again, how busy BHI rentals can be, however, customer service should be addressed and just not dismissed.

Pros: Dogs allowed (this is huge for us**) Stocked kitchen (we cook every night so this is important) screened in porch was lovely beach towels proved Tons of beach chairs, boogie boards, even a surf board. That was all great! Ice machine *super bonus* plenty of extra pillows/blankets kids bunk room is awesome nice open living spaces great location on the island Cons: Carpets were filthy (end of season... dog friendly rental... I get it) Three live cockroaches during our stay. beds in upstairs rooms were really bad mattresses. (not sure about lower rooms) many lights out, couldn't find replacement bulbs During our stay on TWO nights the alarm went off. The first night we were able to turn it off with the code, the second night it continued for three hours. That was a big damper on the trip. When I called and left a message, the woman that called me back was NOT friendly, nor apologetic. The kitchen appliances(stove/oven) are not easy to use (we were told they were all being replaced at the end of season) head light on large go-cart needs replacing

Our 3 grown children, their spouses, and two grandchildren all stayed very comfortably in this beautiful and well appointed home. The kitchen has everything you need, and the location is awesome- being very close to the market and center of the island. We have been coming to BHI for 10 years now and we all agree this was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Thank you to WWP for their attention to detail.

The only downside was the cleanliness. We did have a small dog with us, so we paid the 250 fee. When we got there it was obvious any fees did not go towards cleaning. Stained carpet and bed spreads. The house needs a good cleaning or owners should consider replacing the carpet.

Great Vacatoin on Bald Head

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing vacation on Bald Head Island. The team at Wendy Wimot was more than helpful and accommodating. The home was very nice and the location is very central and convenient. The market is walking distance, the beach is a quick drive to one of the most convenient beaches, and the ferry, BHI Club, and Shoals club are an easy drive away. The home was also very well equipped - to the extent that it would have been helpful to know what items were going to be at the house so we didn't have to pack as much (tons of beach towels in the laundry room, several beach chairs, umbrellas, and bikes, and we even found a Keurig the day before we checked out). Very minor complaints, but the downstairs bedrooms were a little warm, the outdoor shower could use a little TLC, and the trash required constant shuffling around (almost full trash upon arrival from the prior renters with no pickup for 4 days, which meant constantly rearranging/consolidating the several trash cans, etc).
