This expansive retreat features a main house and an annex, collectively known as Beacon Point Inn, offering a total of 7 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, and accommodating up to 18 guests. This is a one-of-a-kind Bald Head Island beach getaway. Conveniently located near the marina and the Old Baldy Lighthouse. Experience impressive views of the Oak Island Lighthouse, Cape Fear River, and the Atlantic Ocean, where you can watch ships and local fishermen pass byâcreating the perfect backdrop for your gatherings.
Upon entering the first floor of the main house of Beacon Point Inn, which accommodates up to 10 guests, you'll find a cozy gathering area with a designated wet bar and a game/puzzle library. Bedrooms are located on the first and second floors of the main house, including four bedrooms on the first floor and a primary bedroom on the second floor. The first-floor bedrooms are comfortable, each with an en-suite bathroom, including one with a king bed (tub/shower) and three with queen beds (shower). A new washer and dryer are conveniently located on the first-floor level. The primary bedroom is situated in a private setting on the second floor and offers a lovely balcony.
The thoughtfully designed reverse floor plan of the main house showcases large windows, filling the space with breathtaking views of West Beach and the Cape Fear Riverâtruly an impressive backdrop for cherished family memories. Gather around the spacious living area or enjoy al fresco dining on the covered porch while relishing stunning sunset reflections over the water. The comfortable, well-equipped kitchen features a wrap-around bar, a separate coffee bar area (complete with a coffee pot, Keurig, Nespresso, and electric tea kettle), a gas range, granite countertops, and custom cabinetry, making it perfect for culinary adventures and family meals.
This southern gem, with its extensive covered wrap-around porch and decks, is not just about spaceâit's about hosting a wonderful vacation experience. Relax, unplug, and take some time to enjoy one of the many rocking chairs while sharing conversations and creating memories.
The annex, known as Lightkeepers Cottage, is available for separate rental in non-peak months of the year. This charming two-bedroom, two-bath space accommodates a maximum of 8 guests and features a cozy central sitting room, perfect for enjoying morning coffee. The first bedroom features a spacious king bed, while the second bedroom boasts a two custom double bunk bed designed for adults and children alike, complete with a queen-sized bottom bunk and an extra-large twin bed on top. Both bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms. You can search for the Lightkeepers Cottage separately online for availability and booking information.
After a day at the beach, enjoy additional family activities with ample game space in the garage, including a ping pong table, 4 across game, corn hole, and other outdoor games. Youâll have access to eight owner-provided bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach shade, along with an additional full-sized refrigerator for extra beverage and food storage. A traditional gas grill and a flat-top grill are available for outdoor dining options (please note that amenities are not guaranteed and may change at any time). Guests also benefit from included 6-seater and 4-seater club carts, with additional charging space available for optional rental carts. The nearby beach access, just steps from your front door, is a local favorite for fishing, boasting some of the best spots on the island.
Beacon Point Inn not only offers unique spaces in the main house but also in Lightkeepers Cottage, allowing you to host up to 18 guests. This property supports multi-generational gatherings, featuring an elevator (for adult use only). It offers options for sharing this experience with your four-legged companions (up to two, with flea/tick preventive required). Please note this home does have an elevator but is not ADA compliant.
As a bonus, enhance your experience with the option of a temporary membership (available for separate purchase) at the prestigious Bald Head Island Club. Temporary Membership includes access to golf, dining, pool, fitness, tennis, pickleball, and croquet. Guests must have a temporary BHI Club membership to access the club. Once youâve booked Beacon Point Inn and/or Lightkeepers Cottage, please reach out to the club immediately to secure your reservation, as memberships are limited and tend to sell out quickly, especially during peak periods.
Designed for togetherness, Beacon Point Inn also includes quiet corners perfect for reading and more intimate conversations away from the larger group. Check-in and check-out days in the summer season are Sunday to Sunday. Ferry reservations should be made to coincide with the assigned check-in/out times, which are 3:30 pm for property check-in and 9:00 am for property check-out. Ferry reservations should be made no earlier than 3:00 pm for arrivals and no later than 9:30 am for departures. There are no accommodations made for early check-in or late arrivals.
The Main House: Sleeps 10 (max.). 5 bedrooms (1K-1K-1Q-1Q-1Q). 4 full baths. 1 half bath. (2) 4 passenger carts. Adjacent to beach access. Pet-friendly. BHI Club access for an additional fee. Linens and bath towels are provided with the rental as well as a starter set of kitchen and bath amenities.
