Tucked down a winding, shrubbed drive, Coast2Coast-a four bedroom, 4.5 bath waterfront Executive retreat on the Island's West Beach, boasts a large private pool, water panoramas extending from Sunny Point to past Bald Head Point, multiple outdoor living spaces and a private beach access shared only with the home next door. As you enter the hexagonal open floor plan you are awed by expansive water perspectives on three sides. The generous dining area is flanked by glass-allowing you to savor waterscapes with your meals. However, if alfresco is your fancy, step out onto the broad back deck and munch while reveling in breezes off the water. Nearby, the chef's kitchen also serves up gorgeous views and bestows plenty of quartz counter space, a farm sink, Thermador stainless appliances and a breakfast bar accommodating four. The adjacent living area is anchored by an oversize sectional and offers plenty of seating for conversation, movie-watching or game-playing.

Several halls extend from this great room. The first leads to an ample sundeck overlooking the pool. Catch some rays above the pool's fray, yet stay close enough to slip down for a quick dip. Beyond this deck entrance, a sunny, shiplapped King suite provides water scenes on one side and access to the pool deck on the other. Its spa-like bath has a mosaic-tiled floor, his/her vanity, stand-alone tub, water closet and glassed walk-in shower as well as killer ocean aspects. The second hallway traverses past the laundry and a half bath to another beachfront King Master that proffers sliding glass door egress to another deck and is just steps from the home's beach access. This suite also indulges with another pampering full bath. The third hallway reveals an entire wing of the house with two light-filled Queen bedrooms. The first has its own ensuite and a separate balcony overlooking the pool. The second uses the full bath in the hall (that grants access to the pool deck).

Up the stairs in this hallway, you'll find a large living/dining sanctuary surrounded by windows that display even more magnificent ocean tableaus. There are also two outdoor perimeter walkways from where you can breathe in briny breezes as well as relish the sweeping Atlantic. The final door off this hall leads to steps down to the home's workshop/garage-the location of the six- and a four-passenger golf carts. This is also the pool level. Lounge, sun, or picnic by your own exclusive, secluded, heated swimming pool. Pool cannot be heated December through February. swimming pool. Pool was lovely and heated! House has light soft relaxing color scheme- a true get away. Good location on the Island as well! All modern appliances- bathroom were good size, showers fantastic- I would highly recommend this property and working with Wendy Wilmot. realty- service was excellent.

Coast to Coast BHI summer family vacation

Everything was in good working order with the exception of one overhead ceiling fan in one bedroom. Given it was very hot the week we were there it would have been nice to have this fan in service. We notified property management on Sunday we arrived on Saturday and it was not repaired or replaced during our stay.We still enjoyed our stay and having the pool was great as we all enjoyed it every afternoon.

Great Stay, Few Hiccups

We really enjoyed staying at Coast2Coast. There were a few hiccups: erratic golf carts, a bathroom door lock, a broken window shade and broken ice maker, but those were not as big an issue as the beach. The first day we went out to the beach, we discovered that a very large area of the beach was roped off for bird nesting. While we understand the need to support the wildlife on the island, one of the main reasons we rented this property was for direct access to the beach and ocean, but we had to walk a very long way around this roped off area to get the the beach/water and the younger and older members of our family found it impossible to do this, so we had to go to other beaches during our stay. Nowhere in the property description did it say anything about the fact that from May 15 - September 15, there would not be direct access to the beach. So would it be possible to get some sort of compensation for this inconvenience? Thank you for your consideration. We always enjoy renting from Wendy Wilmott Properties.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We celebrated a Post Wedding Vacation for our Family and the home had a layout to accommodate an All Adult Celebration. One of the only homes on the Island with 4 Large Rooms with Queen & above Beds. The home had all amenities we were seeking to make our stay enjoyable. The pool was refreshing and used daily. Albeit the pool bottom was a bit dirty with grit, the water was clean and with the heater was nice in the evening. The Kitchen & Grill served our family and friends well! The Observatory with a 360 view was fantastic for coffee & sunset wine! The river basin feeding the ocean drew nasty biting flies, but that is Island Life. We highly recommend Coast2Coast for Adult Families seeking quality time and served as a Blessing to our Celebration!

Coast to Coast

We loved our stay at Coast to Coast. The setup is perfect for 2 or 3 families with plenty of room to spread out. The house is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. There were plenty of beach chairs and a cart, which is a bonus. The pool was such a great addition for late afternoons or questionable weather days. A game changer and not easy to come by on Bald Head. We also really loved the sound side views of the ships coming and going, and used the beach in front of the house some. A couple of things would have made our stay even better that are worth mentioning. A vacuum cleaner or floor sweeper of some sort for those of us who prefer to keep things clean would be a plus. Also, with a big group we found that the one fridge and the small beverage cooler wasnt enough. We had to go to the store daily for ice to keep things in our coolers. An additional fridge would be amazing, and a working ice maker. I understand these are luxuries. The last item though, was a bit frustrating. The bunk room light/fan switch didn't work properly for our entire stay. The light had to be on for the ceiling fan to operate, so the room stayed pretty warm for the top bunk kids. The rental company said it was aware and had a call in to an electrician, but it never happened while we were there. It seems like it should have been a quick fix, not one that extended more than a week. Otherwise, we loved the place and intend to rent again next year!

I’ve been visiting Bald Head Island for the last 15 years with my family. It’s our favorite island! I’ve stayed in many homes across the island and they’ve all been a pleasure to stay in. This was my grandsons very first beach trip (he’s 9 months old) It was also our first time staying ocean front. The first night we killed two big spiders on the sectional couch. The next day we start killing what looked like cockroaches all in the kitchen. I start to video some of this and around 1am I went to get a snack in the kitchen I see a roach running across the count so I flip on the light and not only were there roaches but the ceiling had 7 or 8 big spiders just crawling around. I called maintenance and they came out. I was told they come out alot to service that property but due to the 8 days of rain prior to us staying it was going to be hard to get rid of the bugs. There was also mold in my daughter’s bathroom on the ceiling. I called and talked to Joan who said she’d talk to the owner and see what they could do for us. I sent what videos I had to her and the pictures. She told me she’d call me back the Saturday we checked out. I have yet to get a call. I’ve called back 5 times and they just send me to her voicemail. I’ve left messages and no return phone call. I would not ever stay here again and it was very disappointing to pay as much as we did to have our experience with our kids and grandson somewhat ruined. Everyone was worried about the roaches and spiders It was awful!

We had a great time. Just a couple of issues. TV control in main area has corroded batteries and does not work Microwave does not work properly. Does not heat Need more propane gas. Issue with dishwasher properly emptying Shower in bedroom on laundry hallway makes high pitch whining noise.
