Welcome to Chalet Cabin, part of Sunset Shores Resort, hosted by Simple Life Rentals. Nestled along 200 feet of Kangaroo Lake waterfront, guests will enjoy swimming, water sports and fishing in the 1100-acre glacier-formed lake.



The Space:

This cozy retreat offers 1 queen bedroom, 1 bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen. We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs. There is an additional fee collected at booking.



The seasonally installed dock accommodates guest's boats, with a nearby boat launch. The pier also provides a stunning view of sunsets. Guests will also enjoy shared amenities such as a fire pit with chairs and firewood, green space, sand box, and swing set.

+ Dock installed seasonally, dates fluctuate typically between Memorial Day and Labor Day

+ Dock offers sundeck, bench, stairs to water, multiple cleats, and a paddleboard rack

+ Watercraft docking is allowed and at renter’s risk

+ Water is approximately 2-3 feet deep at end of dock

+ Shore is rocky and water gradually deepens to about 10 feet

+ Lake is good for swimming

+ Public Kangaroo Lake boat ramp is approximately 400 feet away



Shared Outdoor Area:

- Fire pit with 10 chairs

- Children’s swing set and sand box



Parking:

- 2 parking spots in driveway, which includes room for a trailer

- No garage



Home Truths:

- There is no central air conditioning in this property. Four portable fans are provided and the bedroom contains a ceiling fan.

- No washer, dryer, ice maker, or dishwasher.

- Max occupancy for this home is 4, not including children 2 and under due to an updated restriction.

- Loft area is not accessible.



The water for this home is serviced by a well. At times, you may notice sulfur smell. It is recommended you bring drinking water if you don't prefer well-water. It is safe for drinking.



Please be aware that you must sign a terms and conditions agreement, which will be sent to you separately, to finalize your reservation.



Interaction with Guests:

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:

- Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)

- A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.

- PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).
