We stayed at the Brig OâDoon for two nights after our wedding as a little mini moon. The hotel is beautiful - very atmospheric and romantic and we stayed in the signature river view room - the view is the stuff of fairytales. The room was luxurious and we had a great sleep! All the staff were friendly and professional and there were some lovely touches and treats as we had mentioned we were staying post wedding. We ate in Tales restaurant both nights and the food/drinks were lovely and the service excellent. The hotel is in a beautiful part of Ayrshire and we enjoyed the Burns experience and a walk to the coast. Canât fault a thing, we had a romantic and magical two days away and will be back for our anniversary.
Although the hotel is very nicely decorated and well set out, we had to complain to the reception (and I will be writing to the hotel group) that we had three issues to raise.
The door of the bathroom (which didn't actually have a bath) wouldn't close, the double-doors out to the patio did not close properly which left a draft, and the hotel does not have a car-park to park your car!!
Amazing luxury hotel. Large, immaculate rooms; dining area with stunning views of the gardens, river and famous bridge; beautiful food; exceptional service from all staff.
Definitely stay here when we are back in this area.
Fascinating building tastefully extended in a superb location.
Everything done in style with a friendly and professional team.
One huge issue which I am sure you are very aware of and that is car parking. Perhaps a remote car park with a driver âŠ.. please
This hotel is a beautiful gem in the heart of Ayrshire. Minutes from the birthplace of Robert Burns, the associated museum and BrigâDoon that influenced his most famous work. The hotel itself is quite stunning and the quality of the food was very high.
