Virginia Dare is a well-appointed semi-oceanfront home. This spacious getaway spot offers 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 2 half baths, and beach access less than 100 yards away. The fun does not stop after a day at the beach… enjoy the private pool, and hot tub, or unwind on the sundecks to watch the ocean waves. Centrally located, you're within 2 miles of sightseeing, shopping, restaurants, art galleries, museums, and the Avon Fishing Pier. Don't forget your 4-legged family member!

Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a private pool, outdoor shower, carport, driveway for up to 5 vehicles, fish cleaning station, and grill. As you enter the home from the dry carport entry, you are greeted by the fully loaded game room with a convenient half bathroom. The game room boasts a pool table, dart board, foosball, cable TV, and wine cooler. Bedroom #1 is on this level, furnished with 2 Twin Bunk Beds… perfect for the little ones in your group! Access to the private saltwater pool area is directly off the game room.

Mid Level: You will find 3 spacious ocean-facing bedrooms, each with cable TV and direct access to the covered ocean-facing deck with a hot tub and swing. Bedroom #2 is furnished with Two Twin Beds & Bedroom #3 is equipped with a Queen Bed. Bedrooms #2 and #3 share a spacious full bathroom located off the hallway. Bedroom #4 is a King Bedroom with an ensuite private full bathroom. The laundry area is also located on this level.

Top Level: You are greeted by ocean views in all corners of the great room through the expansive ocean-facing windows. The great room boasts cathedral ceilings, plenty of seating for the entire family, and access to south and east-facing sun decks. The chef's kitchen is equipped with all the cookware you might need to prepare your favorite meal, expansive granite counters, and a breakfast bar that seats 4. With two separate dining areas, there is seating for 12 so the entire family can enjoy a meal together at the end of a busy day. Bedroom #5 is located off the great room with a King Bed and spacious attached full bathroom. A half bath is located on this level as well.

Extras: Private pool, hot tub, shared tennis courts, 5 flat-screen cable TVs, WiFi, Keurig, traditional coffee maker, air fryer, crockpot, grill, outdoor shower, deck furniture, fish cleaning table, pool table, and foosball. No Smoking/Vaping. Dogs Welcome. Distance to beach access: 300 feet. Beds: 2 King, 1 Queen, 2 Set of Twin Bunk Beds, 2 Twins. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-in Location: At the Property.

Pool Heat is an additional $500 per week

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Great Stay

This was in a perfect spot and we really enjoyed our time here. We did have an issue with the hot tub, but the property manager helped us resolve it quickly. I would definitely stay again.

Home Sweet Home!

My family from NY and Fl met at the Virgina Dare as a half way point to celebrate Christmas together. It was so welcoming and felt just like home upon arrivalas. Spacious to fit 7 adults and 4 children with an endless amount of activities to do, before we even left the kids asked if we could come back! So close to the beach and the grocery store. Looking forward to going back!!!

This home was an excellent choice for our annual "week at the beach". Sherry was very helpful and provided a ton of information about the house, amenities, the area and things to do. The house was everything we hoped for and was true to the description and pictures provided on the website. If we don't go to Hawaii, our home, next Summer we will return here.

Love, Love, Love Virginia Dare

We have been coming to Virginia Dare for four years and couldn't love it more. The house is beautifully equipped with everything you could need and oh so comfortable. The views of the ocean and pool are wonderful and the access to the beach is just steps away. Included is a linen service that makes it so easy to just pack up your bathing suit and flip flops and you're on your way to a great vacation. The owner has always gone above and beyond in answering questions and the included concierge service, Shore Details is so helpful. When our family arrives we just all say "Ahhhhhhh....." and relax.

This is our favorite house!!!

My family's favorite vacation spot is the Outer Banks and we have stayed at many houses on Hatteras over the years. Our stay at Virginia Dare was the result of learning about VRBO and I will never go back to going through realtors. Working with Sherry to schedule our stay was so nice - much better to make plans with a person and not a business. In addition, when we were in the house, we felt more like we were at a "friend's" house and appreciated how much their love of the house came through in all the careful attention to details, family pictures and great amenities. Of course, the closeness to the beach, shopping and pool and hot tub were all spectacular and what we've always looked for in a house. We will definitely stay at Virginia Dare again - it will be nice to come "home" to a familiar house in summers to come.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was great! We really enjoyed staying here. We had 10 people vacationing together and had plenty of space to accommodate us all. The house was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was very well stocked and had extras like 2 coffee pots, blenders and a crock pot. The decks had nice views and plenty of seating. Beach access was an easy minute walk right across the street. Shore Details was a great company to work with and includes beach gear with this rental, which was great not having to pack our own chairs and boogie boards. Linens were also included which is a huge plus. Overall, we were very happy with this rental and would recommend it to anyone considering an Outer Banks vacation.

Our stay at Virginia Dare was wonderful. We are definitely saving this vacation packet information hopefully to return next year. The house is clean and everything it claims to be. A well stocked kitchen, which is very important, and comfortable, cozy furniture throughout. There is plenty of comfortable dinning space, both inside and out on the deck. We ate at the picnic table on the upper deck for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can see, hear, and feel the ocean breeze from both deck levels. Beach access, being directly across the street, is literally minutes away. There is a nice yard area behind the pool making walking my dog Jack and playing some ball with him very convenient. The pool is fantastic and the hot tub is wonderful. We had a 6, 4, and 2 year old with us so the pool got plenty of use. A pool table and foosball table inspired some healthy competition between some of the adults. What was very helpful is that the owners are very accommodating. Sherry gave a great overview of the area with highlights of places to see and things to do. Personally, I’d recommend the Madd Crabber for sea food. Thanks Sherry. Your beach house is wonderful. We all had a fantastic time.

Best Vacation Ever!

Previously, my family vacationed in Myrtle Beach and had a terrible experience with the house we rented through VRBO. I was nervous booking through VRBO again, but the Virginia Dare completely surpassed our expectations. I sincerely appreciated working with the owner to rent this house for a week. I spoke to the owner several times to ask about the house, amenities, pool, beach access, and the owner was very happy to answer all my questions. The photos accurately depict what you will rent, but almost do justice to the beauty of the property. This house is amazing! Not only did we have a completely clean house, with brand new linens on the beds, the house was stocked with full cabinets of glassware, utensils, Tupperware, pots, pans, etc. All the items in the house were completely clean and ready to for us to use. The concierge service had the Virginia Dare spotless when we arrived. We also used the concierge service to have the house completely stocked with food when we arrived, so we could avoid a trip to the grocery store when we arrived. The house is directly across from the beach ramp too, so we were able to enjoy the beach everyday. This house is also pet friendly, so we were able to bring our dog for the vacation. Our trip to OBX was amazing and when we travel here again, we will definitely book the Virginia Dare again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: FANTASTIC TRIP! Property: has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your vacay. everyone in our crew found beds comfy. owner has added fabulous touches from a trashcan out at the pool, to luggage stands in each bedroom, to wooden dow rods in the sliding doors for extra security, to gates on the decks for your furry friends. Right across the street from public access to beach. pool is secured well to keep little people safe. 2 blocks from foodlion and fresh seafood. property is clean and well equipped. the decks need a little tlc. pool liner is a little worn. there is some regular beach wear and tear. The property itself is a great location, clean and is the first we have rebooked in many years of vacationing on NC coast. Realty Co.: by far hands down best company I've ever rented from 50% of the reason we rebooked for 2020. easy to work with, responsive, organized, efficient...I cannot say enough good things. only thing this house is missing is a screen porch an a vaccum. Looking forward to 2020.

Beware! Property is a Brindley Beach property, a company I will never deal with again due to their deceptive business practices. After booking & paying for the trip & trip insurance through Vrbo, Brindley contacted me directly requesting my payment. Confused, I checked my card and saw that 1 of the 2 Vrbo pending charges was gone; the other smaller one posted. The Brindley agent said that my card would not go through for some reason & I needed to pay them directly after signing the lease. She did not respond to my mention of strangeness that I had plenty of remaining credit & the trip insurance fee cleared. I signed the lease; paid the deposit including a dog fee that was not mentioned on the Vrbo site. After paying Brindley the final deposit, I realized I had not received any info about my trip insurance. After several phone calls with Vrbo & Brindley, I discovered Brindley cancelled my 1st deposit because they do NOT accept payments thru Vrbo, my trip insurance was also cancelled, AND that the posted Vrbo charge was Vrbo's booking fee! (A fee I could have avoided had I booked directly through Brindley.) I was also told that I should have purchased trip insurance through Brindley - I would have done so had I known mine thru Vrbo was actually cancelled - but it was too late now because I had already paid in full. Property especially kitchen was dirty, requiring several hrs of cleaning & poorly maintained - old sagging mattresses, strong dog urine odor, etc.

Nice location, roomy place to stay

We enjoyed our stay here. Little things that could have made it better, but overall, very cozy! Location was perfect. Hop & a skip from the ocean, and the grocery store & other businesses all within walking distance or a very short drive!
