Beautifully positioned on the sound-front, this home overlooks the private Hatteras wetlands that border the soundside coastline. Here in the Kinnakeet Shores neighborhood, you'll find the perfect spot for nature viewing as you relax at the top of the Carolina Breeze.

Begin on the top level, which offers a kitchen with a brand-new refrigerator, a dishwasher, a Keurig, and an air fryer. This level is partitioned by a breakfast bar and completed with an updated dining set that includes two large bench seats. As an added secret bonus, this dining room table can be converted into both a pool table and a Ping-Pong table by removing the top. Dinner, dessert, family game night - it all happens here!

Down the half-flight central staircase is the main living room with a large TV and a minibar. The massive windows, from floor to ceiling, capture a picture-perfect view overlooking the sound and incredible sunsets.

One floor below, on the main level, you'll find a brand-new washer/dryer, a queen bedroom, and a dual-pyramid bedroom. Down on the lower level is a uniquely laid-out primary suite that includes a king bed, an additional double bed, a jetted tub, and a subdivided bathroom space. The entire home has gone through recent renovations, including a newly painted interior, a new HVAC and plumbing system, and new Adirondack deck chairs.

Outside, the ground level features a brand-new gas grill and an outdoor shower. Take an evening stroll to view the sunset or, in the opposite direction, a morning walk to the beach along the community walkway. This home also includes access to the Kinnakeet Shores Pool and Tennis.

Great location but expect to do a lot of cleaning

The house was in a great spot, within walking distance to the beach and bay, but the master bed sheets were stained, the kids bedroom closet had a rolled up wet carpet that smelled like urine, the second bedroom next to the kids had blonde hair in sheets and all comforters smelled bad, The floor mats in bathrooms were dirty, I spend the second day of my stay washing everything. There was a cockroach in the kids bathroom, also in balconies and by the main entrance outside. The tvs in bedrooms don’t work, and the fan in the room that had blonde hair in bed was noisy and could not be on, it was shaking that we didn’t feel safe having it on. Vacasa staff came right away to take the dirty carpet out of the kids closet, and unclogged the bathroom sink. Lamps in those bedrooms needed new light bulbs. I didn’t report the fan, roaches or tvs to the staff because I felt I wanted to enjoy rather than fix everything that didn’t work. The property management need to do a better job getting the house ready for guest, we did the cleaning during our stay and followed the steps for checking out, however I felt like there’s no one looking at these issues.

listing of property was not accurate at all

listing of property was not accurate did not enclose that there were many many steps and no access to beach. None both pools you went to gave us a hard time to swim because we had to be members. It was not that clean had to vacuum it really good so my one year-old kid get on the floor without putting stink bugs in his mouth. My main thing was numerous of things, not enclosed on listing too much money for no access to the beach no way to go to the pool without arguing that it was enclosed you could go. They say you’re not a member too much money. Nothing is closed. You have to drive out to get food etc and we had to drive 20 minutes out to have beach access

Overall the stay was nice. The house is beautiful! The cleaning staff could have done a better job prior to our arrival but I always bring cleaning supplies so I was able to clean the bathrooms, the dust off of the bed posts and the kitchen counters. The air fryer was filthy so maybe that can be on the check off list in the future to make sure that is clean. Also there was food in freezer from previous guests, unsure how far back. It was only ice cream but maybe that can also be on checkout list whilst cleaning. I left it in the freezer so maybe it can be removed before next guests arrive. I loved the location of the house which gave us 100% privacy. When we vacation there again this house will definitely be my choice to stay again.

Big home with an amazing view!

This was a big home for our family of 5 with a dog. It was perfect for us. The teens loved the table that turned into a ping pong or pool table. We all loved the view with the big windows. It could be a little cleaner with rings around the bathtubs and dated ripped furniture and rugs, but for the view and location it was worth it!

Short stay

Property was as advertised. Dining table is a pool table. Flip over top and can play table tennis. Only aspect not appreciated was toilet in Master bedroom has no door. But we knew this going in and managed just fine with the floor plan.

Beautiful Sunsets, Great Neighborhood, Good Price, Needs Some Love

Overall gorgeous location, cool house, awesome neighborhood, pool, beach. Avon is a bit more remote, but enough to do. House itself is one of the older homes with lots of privacy, but some investment would help it match the expectations to the listing. Examples: the outdoor shower had no shower head, but worked, the walls were spot painted here and there, but a board separated from the ceiling while we were there. Took 3 days to get internet to work, but it was fixed and the folks were nice who did that. Carpet remnants didn't feel homey, minimal kitchen items, toiletries felt low quality. We didn't use the grill. The main room layout is two beds and a jacuzzi with an open toilet. It felt dated and weird, but we made it work and 100% CAN'T BEAT THE PRIVACY AND VIEWS OF THE SUNSETS AND STARS!

Private home, beautiful views

We loved this home. It was perfect for our family vacation. The home is private with trees and greenery all around. It is really far from both the ocean and sound , bit has amazing sound views. I highly recommend bug spray because the mosquitoes will take you away. The only problem I had with this property is the living room. The room has huge windows with no type of blinds or awnings, so it is HOT and BRIGHT. We made a joke of wearing our sunglasses in the living room. Other than that the home had everything we needed. Great neighborhood.
