Construite en 1976, cette maison d'apprentissage conçue par Frank Lloyd Wright est nichĂ©e dans les collines de la vallĂ©e du Wisconsin, sur 30 acres de vieille forĂȘt de feuillus et de prairies indigĂšnes restaurĂ©es. Plan d'Ă©tage ouvert salon, salle Ă  manger et cuisine avec plafonds hauts de 18 pieds, puits de lumiĂšre et poĂȘle Ă  bois vintage. Les portes coulissantes en verre s'ouvrent sur une plate-forme de 400 pieds carrĂ©s suspendue dans les arbres au-dessus de l'Ă©tang ci-dessous. Cuisine et salles de bains rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©es. Cuisine avec cuisiniĂšre Ă  gaz, rĂ©frigĂ©rateur pleine grandeur, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle et garde-manger rempli. Barbecue Ă  gaz extĂ©rieur. 2 chambres, chacune avec un lit queen et salle de bain complĂšte. grands placards, draps et serviettes.
À mi-chemin entre Spring Green et Dodgeville. À environ 20 km du American Players Theatre, du centre-ville Spring Green et du Taliesin de Frank Lloyd Wright. 50 miles à Madison.

Beautiful Woodland Stay

We seek a remote and quiet property every Fourth of July. This home fit the bill perfectly. It was well appointed, comfortable and stylish. Lush surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay again!

Driftless dreaming

From arrival to departure, everything was exactly as advertised, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in SW WI. We had a few questions during our stay and Phyllis responded immediately with pleasant and helpful replies. Her property manager (Troy) even took time out of his evening to help us with some on site technology. Well done!!!!

Beautiful! Just book it!

What a beautiful house in spectacular setting!We spent two nights there, and wish that our stay had been longer. The house is larger than expected, easily accommodating the four adults that stayed there. It provides great communal space, but also nicely appointed private space for each couple. The view out the floor to ceiling windows to the spacious deck was so relaxing, and as every review seems to mention, watching the wide variety of birds that visited the bird feeder on the deck was quite a treat!As for the bottom-line “must haves” that we look for in any VRBO, this house has all the bases covered
immaculately clean, comfortable beds, great Wi-Fi, spacious bathrooms and just about every kitchen and dining amenity you could ever want.If we’re ever back in the area, this will 100% be our rental again! Loved every minute of it!

Another Peaceful Stay at Serene Woodland Oasis

We are so happy that we found this multi-generational, beautifully built and designed cabin, on Vrbo. It’s our second time here, and our little family enjoyed 3 recharging days of rest and relaxation. The birds and squirrels are really something to behold. Beds comfortable. So easy to check-in, check-out, and navigate the space in between. Internet is great and reliable. And there is more to do nearby than first meets the eye (hiking at state park, bars, etc.). We simply love it here, and will be back again and again. Thanks, Phyllis and family!

Idyllic retreat to get away

My husband and pets absolutely loved our time here. It is nestled in amongst the trees and was the perfect location to unplug and get away. It was exactly what we needed. The house is beautiful and we could sit and watch the birds and deer from the living room.

Absolutely magical!

We had the best time in this home. It was incredibly clean, welcoming, and easy going. We loved watching the birds and it was such a treat to see so many grosbeaks and chickadees at the well stocked feeders. Grounds are well maintained and the cabin is so private, it feels suspended in the trees. The architecture is not your typical cabin, it was so unique and beautiful. It’s easy to control the temperature, the beds are comfy, and we felt right at home. Walking down the lane while the sun filtered through the trees was healing. Our dog was like a puppy again exploring the woods. If you feel like an outing, we recommend Wander Provisions in Spring Green, the sandwiches were delicious. I imagine the fall colors are spectacular here with all the trees, and cannot wait to come back. Thank you so much!!

Relaxing getaway

The Driftless region is one of our favorites areas in WI. The cabin is beautifully decorated and located in a peaceful setting. We enjoyed relaxing and bird-watching on the large deck. Hope to be back soon!

A Little Bit of ShangriLa for those who love being away from it all...

This is our third stay at Phyllis's little slice of heaven. I will not reinvent the wheel by repeating words from our former visit reviews, but I will say that for anyone who loves staying in a well furnished (historical) home with super comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen -- while still being able to bring your four legged friend and still get away from it all -- this is your place.It is certainly our ShangriLa, and we love that Phyllis provides access to such a wonderful dog-friendly home to get away from it all!!

Perfect getaway!

I was looking for a place to stay near House On The Rock, and this property was perfect! Very clean and comfortable, while still rustic with lots of character. We'd definitely go back, especially to see the other seasons. As all the other reviews mention, it is so fun to watch the bird feeders!

Peaceful and scenic retreat!

We had a lovely time at Phyllis's lovely cabin! I surprised my husband with a weekend trip here for his birthday and he was thrilled when we pulled into this beautiful property! It is very quiet, and so private. It was so fun to watch the birds and squirrels out on the deck. Our dog loved laying by the windows to watch :) So close to governor dodge state park and Spring Green! Thank you Phyllis for a wonderful stay.

Comfortable retreat

We had a very relaxing early spring stay at this quiet, peaceful home. It was easy to slow down and just be, watching the birds at the bird feeder. The updated kitchen areas and bathrooms were very nice without making the rest of the house feel too new, and any time we thought we needed something, we were able to find it. Highlights were heading out fir area hikes in the afternoon and, on a cold day, lighting up the wood stove.

Special Retreat

We have stayed her several times and always have a hard time leaving. When we step inside any tension just drains away and we feel so at home. You can just spend hours watching all the birds on the large deck as you sit by the large fireplace. We love cooking in the open kitchen with the grill right outside the door on the back deck.Phyllis has supplied this clean cabin with everything you could need.

Winter oasis

This was our 3rd time staying at this gorgeous cabin in the woods. It is just a lovely way to enjoy winter instead of just enduring it! Warm and cozy--the fireplace, a good book, and a cocktail make for a pretty perfect evening, only to be rivaled by coffee on a sunny morning watching the birds right outside the window. The quiet surroundings are glorious. Kitchen is well-equipped. Internet, if you need it, is fast. Bed is comfy, and everything is immaculately clean and well-appointed. We love this place and will definitely be back for a 4th visit!
