Casa Blanca 4Bdrm Beach Home Steps from Beach, Golf & Wine

This rental is for a 4 bedroom home that can be rented with its neighboring 3 bedroom home.

The Casa Blanca twin homes can be rented separately or together for large group gatherings. Each home is private and has no shared common space. The twin homes can be joined for easy pass-thru by unlocking a privacy gate. The barn-door privacy gate is on the main terrace. When the gate is open, guests can easily walk between homes.

Unit B features four bedrooms, each furnished with a king-sized bed, and 3-1/2 bathrooms. A main living space, kitchen and master bedroom with ensuite bathroom is at street level. Bedrooms 2 & 3 are upstairs, each with private ensuite bathrooms. The fourth bedroom and laundry center is at ground level, just off the garage.

A beautiful outdoor space for grilling and relaxing is right off the main area. You certainly don't have to (you are on vacation!), but the gourmet kitchen will tempt you to stay in and cook while enjoying the view of the central coast mountains.

Wine tasting, biking and hiking trails, beach fun, excellent restaurants and coffee shops are all within just minutes of walking. A great park for kids with an adjoining basketball court is also close. The fall is a great time to visit for apple picking and tasting.

Day excursions to Hearst Castle or Big Sur are very doable, and will expose you to some of California's most stunning cliffs and secret beaches. Morro Bay, Cambria and San Simeon (where the elephant seals live) are all fun to explore.

The home is located in Avila Beach, just south of San Luis Obispo (SLO was voted one of the top 5 happiest cities) and nearby dozens of vineyards. SLO has the largest farmers market in California every Thursday night of the year, and Avila Beach has a lovely one each Friday night of the summer. Great shopping is all around as well as yummy seafood and all types of restaurants for every taste. If you like antiques, Arroyo Grande will delight you.

Kayaking in Shell Beach is a thrill as you paddle through caves and along the cliffs. Or, you may want to hike up Bishop's Peak or go whale watching, or deep sea fishing out of Morro Bay or San Luis Bay (near Avila Beach). Several public golf courses are nearby.

Or, you may want to just grab the beach chairs, towels and umbrella and walk down to the beach and read a good book. The options are really endless.

All of your basics will be provided. If you're renting for a week and would like a mid week cleaning that can be arranged upon request. We also have connections with a great home chef if you'd enjoy some in home gourmet food.

Great Getaway

Casa Blanca is in a great location it is so close to the beach and shops in Avila Beach. The property was clean and accommodated our family easily. We enjoyed the patio and outside for pit in the evenings. Overall an excellent stay and we would go back again!

Spacious, new, awesome for any group

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. All host communication was timely and easy to follow.The 4 kiddos in our group loved that they could walk down to the boardwalk on their own. We all loved that each of the 3 large bedrooms had their own full bath. We can’t wait to stay again. 10 out of 10!

Brought family to town for son's graduation from Cal Poly. House was very nice and in a convenient location. Easy access with garage door openers not expected but a very nice touch! Outdoor fire pit was a bit hit also.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We selected this rental for its convenient location, within walking distance to shops and restaurants in Avila Beach. There was enough parking for our three vehicles - two in the garage and one on the side of the home. There was also room for our ebikes and kayaks in the garage. Access to the street is gated, so the general public can't take the parking spots (which is nice when parking in Avila can be hard to find). There's also parking available in front of the unit, but it's not guaranteed. We liked that three of the bedrooms had their own en suite bathrooms. The fourth bedroom (on the garage level) didn't have a bathroom. There's also a half bath on the main floor (no shower/tub) with a toilet and sink. The kitchen was nicely stocked with dinnerware, glassware, utensils, serving dishes, etc. There's a wagon with beach chairs, umbrella, and a football, plus beach towels in the laundry room. While there isn't a beach view from the balconies (they overlook a parking lot), it's pretty quiet in the early mornings and evenings (when the lots are empty). We look forward to staying here again.

The location can’t be beat, walking distance to the beach/shops/restaurants was amazing. The property was very clean, we loved the big kitchen island as we spent a lot of time around it eating and playing games. I loved the top floor, the bathrooms were bigger and the big balcony felt like my private hideaway from my kids. The beds are comfy, nice bedding and plenty of big fluffy towels, the full sized toiletries were a bonus. If I had to absolutely find any drawbacks it would be the small closets, if you were staying for a couple weeks and had a lot of clothes it’d be hard to put them all away, and the girls staying in the lower bedroom didn’t like not having their own bathroom (first world problems).
