Great place, fantastic location with only a short walk to beach and shops. It was clean and well stocked with essentials. The pull-out mattress on the couch was very thin and lumpy and you could feel a bar through your back, but the queen mattress and pillows in the bedroom were very comfortable.

Lovely little condo

It’s a cute, modern, little space. It’s very comfortable and has everything inside that you might need. It’s one block up from the beach so a great location. And it has a great little parking lot. But just some FYIs: there are a lot of stairs you’ll be climbing because it is an upper level. There’s no hand soap in the kitchen. And it has a regular coffee pot not a kuerig. The light switches have to be turned on to use the ceiling fans and that is not stated anywhere. We will definitely be returning. It’s a cute little place.

Wonderful for a Long Weekend Anniversary Trip

This rental was wonderful. It’s a renovated home converted to three units, plus the one we stayed in - a 1 br over the garage. I initially thought we would be in the unit on top of the main house, but it didn’t really matter. The photos online match the inside of the unit perfectly. It’s freshly redone, and very comfortable! We lived in SLO for 30 years before moving to wine country in 2012 so I am familiar with Avila. I was a little worried that it could be very noisy at night with young people coming and going from restaurants and bars, but that did not happen at all! I was nice and quiet at night. The fog was in mornings and evenings, and there was a nice sea breeze. Front street is a block down hill, right where all the Front Street shops and restaurants start. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean excellent location

Loved that it was literally a min walk down to the beach (quiet beach). The apartment was clean, spacious feeling although it was really tiny. The shower was amazing and was my favorite part of the house. I also really appreciated that there was laundry facility there. Check in
it’s electronic keylock so don’t drive to the property management property like it says on contract. That electronic keypad was not good
we got it to work 60% of the time. Several things would have make it a 5 star for me and they are included in the recommended list below. 1. Bring your own (BYO) pillows & sheets. The ones there were fluffy, hard and so high! The spare were deflated and didn’t feel like pillows. I ran to Costco to buy pillows. The sheets they used during my stay was a cheap Costco sheet and it did not breathe well. I run hot and although the window was open heat radiated from the bed and I couldn’t sleep. 2. BYO beach towels and equipment. I would have loved to use some of “their” beach equipment like chairs and beach toys but none available. They did provide one beach towel to keep which was nice. 3. BYO oil, seasoning if you plan to cook. There is none there from other guests. 4. Don’t expect much from the view. While it is nice there is no space except to stand there and look. Not really a place to sit and enjoy despite presence of 2 stools. 5. The cushion on pullout could use a replacement. My teen slept on it and mentioned it was mixed for him.

great place

Perfect condo for my husband and I. Walking distance to the beach, local shopping and restaurants. In my opinion the condo is perfect. The square footage is exactly were I want it, in the living areas and bathroom and just the right amount in the bedroom with plenty of storage in the built in closet. This is our second time staying here and love the added window which gives a view of the Avila cove. I highly recommend this light and airy condo.

Wonderful Place and Location

I traveled with my friend and two nieces (9) and we were so pleased with the location. It’s literally a block down to the beach. The place was clean and had all the amenities we required. The only thing I would note is that the pull out couch isn’t super comfortable, but that’s where the kids slept. Overall, it was a clean, cute place with a wonderful location. I would stay here again and would recommend this VRBO listing to any family or friends.

Good Price, Professional Service, Great Communication

The spouse and I wanted a quick getaway to the central coast we love. This one bedroom served all our needs. We thought the price was reasonable considering we were a block from the beach, restaurants and bars. The office was very professional and was very accommodating when we called to change dates. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We were pleasantly surprised by this updated place above the garage. The bathroom is very nice, the kitchen island is great and it had plenty of room for the two of us. There is a very nice coffee maker but no Keurig. We enjoyed a glass of wine each evening while listening to the ocean as we sat in the two pub chairs at the little table just outside the front door. It is a short one block walk to the beach and to the shops looking over the beach. The on site parking is convenient especially when people are visiting the beach on a weekend day. We had a great stay and we would definitely rent this place again.

Lovely Designer Condo

A beautifully designed one bedroom condo with a full kitchen and large bathroom. Clean, comfortable and close to the beach and restaurants. Very quiet. And, its on the 2nd floor so the unit catches breezes to stay cool. Fans in the bedroom and living room circulate the air if needed. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances all seemed very new and worked very well. Couple of minor cons: The gardeners show up at 0703 Saturday morning with leaf blowers that sound like motorcycles. This should be changed. And, as other's have pointed out, the kitchen window could use a shade for privacy. That window does have the view of the ocean, but it is also situated so others can see inside.

A New Home Away From Home

We loved it! The apartment exceeded our expectations, as it was nicely appointed, equipped well with kitchen items and starter supplies (TP, cleaning, paper towels), immaculately clean, convenient to the beach and village shops and eateries, and included onsite parking. A couple of considerations: Bed is soft; Town construction can be heard early in morning, and No window covering in kitchen (for when going between bedroom and bathroom). None of those would deter us, but might be considerations for others. Can’t wait to go back!

Clean and close to the beach -- feels larger than it is!

This unit exceeded our expectations. It covered all the basic: located a stone's throw from the beach and downtown, easy parking, great WiFi, spotlessly clean, and a solid array of kitchen amenities. It's nothing too fancy, but there's nothing wrong to speak of. The couch is especially comfortable. In short: come for the location, stay for the comfort. Enjoy!

Excellent location, cute little place!

We loved staying at this darling property just a very short walk to the beach! Only issue we had was weak Wi-Fi which it made it difficult to work remotely. Otherwise, the check in process was easy, the place was clean, and excellent location. We will definitely be back!!
