Bennachie - a house that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms

This modern fully equipped lodge is set in a quiet cul-de-sac in the north end of Aviemore within the Craigellachie nature reserve. The rear garden is fully enclosed with woodland views.
With four bedrooms and two bathrooms the house can sleep eight people comfortably. Bennachie Lodge is equipped to a high standard. The open plan kitchen/dining room looks out onto woodland at the rear of the garden as do the French doors from the living room. Bennachie Lodge is named after the Bennachie Hills and of course the famous whisky. The perfect location to base yourself with your family and friends to enjoy Aviemore and the Spey valley.

February Adventure

Our second time at Bennachie, great location, dog friendly garden and the weather was very kind to us, it snowed but the days were dry. Blue skies on most of the days, cold but we were prepared for that. Shame it doesn’t have a log burner/fire, that would have rounded the day off after some fabulous winter walks in the snow. The house itself is modern, with lovely rooms and bathrooms, as well as a well equipped kitchen. Highly recommend this wonderful house.

Great central location

We were pleasantly surprised by how well equipped the house was, there was everything we needed and was a real home-from-home. Location was perfect. Lovely and quiet but in walking distance to Aviemore centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable holiday in comfortable house

Very spacious house and rear enclosed garden with large decking and ample chairs, large garden table. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Nice touch to have hand soap in kitchen/bathrooms . Located in a cul de sac so it was peaceful. Some traffic noise from A9 to rear of property.

Arrived at 6.00pm, found key no problem, the house was lovely and warm when we entered, there where no smells which is good for a pet friendly house, absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend and to top it off brought in the new year , plenty of snow to end a great week

We stayed at GNL Bennachie property in Aviemore for three nights & had a great mini break, Bennachie is a four bedroom property & had ample room for our party of 6 adults, 2 kids & 2 labradors. The fully enclosed garden gave us privacy & freedom for the dogs to be outside without any worries of them getting out. Thanks for a great stay.

Very comfortable week

Bennachie has everything you need. Very much home from home. We had a couple of issues but GNL’s replied very quickly and we were reassured by a quick visit and that the owners would be notified and if we had anymore issues, to get in contact with them immediately. Will definitely rebook in the future.

Fantastic Holiday in Aviemore

Just got back from a week with the family. Beautiful house and in a perfect location. At the back of the house is woodland and you can walk through the woods in to the centre of Aviemore. The house is a solid build and was ample for our family and two dogs. Lots to explore nearby and the town provides all the amenities you could need. The single beds could do with an upgrade as they are incredibly squeaky and a welcome pack would have been nice. However they are small negatives. We would love to visit it again.

A fantastic Christmas break!

We had a brilliant stay at Bennachie over Christmas. The property was well located with easy access to ameneties and things to do. The house was very clean and well looked after and very thoughtfully stocked. They provided everything I needed for my children including a highchair, travel cot and kids crockery/cutlery. Finding the Christmas tree was a fantastic surprise and made our stay a brilliantly festive one. To top it off we were treated to a white Christmas. Our one piece of advice to others is the keysafe was located by the back door of the property - it took us quite a while to find it in the dark!

Spotless, Spacious, Superb!

Fulfilled a long held dream to stay in Scotland for Hogmanay! This holiday should have happened in 2020 but finally we made it! The property is delightful and was perfect for our New Year break. A well equipped, delightful house in a quiet area of Aviemore. The layout is excellent with gorgeous rooms and comfortable beds and sofas. The walk into Aviemore is straightforward and we really enjoyed the ambiance and fireworks in the area on New Year’s Eve. The garden is secure, perfect if you have a dog or small children and the decking is probably great to use in summer. Just wish there had been a lovely fire to cosy up to after the lovely, crisp walks we went on during the day. xx

Great base in Aviemore

This was our first holiday with GNL and it did not disappoint. Bennachie is in a great location to explore Aviemore and the surrounding areas. A short 20 min walk takes you into the centre of Aviemore and all its shops, pubs and restaurants. The house itself is in a quiet location. It is roomy and has everything you could need. Our party was 4 adults and 1 dog and the house was spacious enough for us all. The only downside I felt was that the sofas and beds were on the low side but that is a personal thing. It has a fully enclosed garden with raised decking and outside furniture. We had a few days of beautiful weather so we were outside a lot. GNL were great and we will certainly be booking another holiday with them in the future.

Great house and location

Great house to stay in - modern, comfortable and clean, and good enclosed garden for the dog to run around in. A bit out of town but only a 20 minute walk into town using the paths and tunnel under the A9. A bit disappointing that the regular grey (non recycling) bin was so full that the lid wouldn't close properly when we got there - had to take all our rubbish away ourselves. Also not convinced that the recycling poster in the house was correct - put all recycling except glass into the blue bin apparently, which I did, but there was an old faded label on the blue bin that said paper and card only which I only noticed near the end of our stay.
