À propos de cet hébergement
Large Waterfront Deck & Harbour Views on the Wharf
Sixty-four square metres of private outdoor deck, directly above the Waitemata Harbour, with the harbour and North Shore spread across the horizon and the whole of Auckland`s working waterfront moving below — this is not a balcony in the usual sense. It is an outdoor room, a proper extension of the apartment`s living area, and easily the most distinctive feature of what is already one of the most compelling two-bedroom apartments on Princes Wharf. The floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap the living area give the deck an indoor-outdoor connection that makes the harbour view present throughout the apartment rather than reserved for the moment you step outside.
The apartment itself is beautifully appointed around two king bedrooms — the master has a walk-in wardrobe leading to a private ensuite bathroom with both a soaking bathtub and a separate shower, a combination that gives the room a genuine luxury quality that most comparable Princes Wharf apartments cannot match. The second king bedroom is served by a well-appointed second bathroom and can be configured as two single beds on advance request if needed. Both bedrooms are properly separated and comfortable, making this a natural choice for two couples, a family of four, or a group who want quality and space without compromise.
The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area is bright and generous, with floor-to-ceiling windows making the harbour omnipresent and direct access to the 64sqm deck for the moments when inside simply won`t do. The kitchen is fully equipped for proper self-catering: stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and all the essentials. A dedicated workspace with high-speed WiFi and air conditioning make this equally practical for business travellers or those combining work with their stay. In-unit washer and dryer in a separate laundry room add self-sufficiency for longer visits.
Princes Wharf is one of Auckland`s most storied addresses. Built in 1929 and named after Admiral Earl Jellicoe, the wharf was for decades the city`s primary point of arrival and departure — the place where ships from around the world docked, and where generations of New Zealanders arrived, departed, and said their goodbyes. During the Second World War the wharf served as headquarters for United States forces in the Pacific. The shed buildings that line the wharf today are the survivors of that era — long, beautiful warehouse structures sympathetically converted into apartments, restaurants, and bars by Leuschke Group Architects in 1998, one of Auckland`s most celebrated waterfront regeneration projects.
Today Princes Wharf is home to Somm wine bar and restaurant, Wahlburgers, and a collection of waterfront dining and drinking venues that make the wharf one of Auckland`s most enjoyable evening destinations. The New Zealand Maritime Museum is immediately at the base of the wharf. Free public viewing decks at the end of Shed 23 offer panoramic harbour views available to all. The wharf also serves as a berth for visiting cruise ships — when a vessel is in port, the precinct takes on an even more vibrant and international character.
The entire apartment is yours — both bedrooms, both bathrooms, kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, separate laundry room, dedicated workspace, and the full 64-square-metre private deck with harbour and North Shore views.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM. Self check-in via key safe — full instructions and codes will be sent the day before your arrival. Early check-in can often be accommodated subject to availability — please enquire at booking.
While we will leave you in peace to enjoy your time in Auckland, we are available 24 hours a day for an emergency.
For those non-urgent like-to-haves, just give us a call or a quick message and we will do everything we can to make this your most memorable trip to Auckland yet.
Princes Wharf connects directly to the Viaduct Harbour precinct — one of Auckland`s most celebrated waterfront dining and entertainment areas. Baduzzi, Hello Beasty, Giraffe, and the full sweep of Viaduct waterfront restaurants and bars are a very short walk along the boardwalk. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is immediately adjacent for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and Hauraki Gulf services.
Commercial Bay`s flagship retail and dining complex is a short walk east along Quay Street, as is Britomart`s cobblestoned laneways. Wynyard Quarter`s North Wharf dining precinct, Silo Park, and the Auckland Fish Market are an easy westward stroll. The New Zealand Maritime Museum is at the base of the wharf. The CBD`s Queen Street, Sky Tower, Aotea Square, and the Auckland Art Gallery are all within comfortable walking distance.
Princes Wharf is one of Auckland`s most walkable waterfront addresses. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is immediately adjacent for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and all Hauraki Gulf services. Britomart Transport Centre is a short walk with full train network connections. The waterfront promenade connects east and west along the full harbour edge. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car.
A complimentary starter pack is provided on arrival — a small selection of tea, coffee, milk, and bathroom essentials to get you settled comfortably from the moment you arrive. Supermarkets and convenience stores are nearby for any additional supplies you need during your stay.
Weekly and monthly discount rates are available and apply automatically to longer stays.
A private airport transfer can be arranged at additional cost — please get in touch at least 48 hours before your arrival and we will organise it for you.
To ensure a smooth arrival, we ask all guests to complete a short online pre-check-in form and upload a valid government-issued photo ID before arriving — this takes just a couple of minutes.
This is a non-smoking, no-vaping property throughout — including the deck and all common areas. No parties or events. Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM.
Princes Wharf occasionally hosts large cruise ships at the adjacent berth. When a vessel is in port, the wharf becomes busier than usual during the day, and views from the deck may be partially affected. Arrivals and departures are publicly listed on the Port of Auckland schedule and we are happy to advise on upcoming visits if this is something you would like to plan around.
The second bedroom has a king bed which can be configured as two single beds on advance request — please let us know at the time of booking if you would like this arrangement, as it cannot be set up on the day of arrival.
We kindly ask all guests to help us maintain the peaceful, high-standard environment of this home by following a few simple rules:
A valid photo ID, email address, and phone number are required prior to check-in.
Please respect our no-party policy and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Smoking, vaping, or drug use is not permitted inside the suite or anywhere in the apartment, building, complex or balcony.
In the rare case of a noise complaint or evidence of smoking, an additional fee of up to NZD $500 may apply.
Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
These measures ensure that every guest enjoys a serene, premium experience — thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
