Relaxing Treehouse Getaway

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. This tree house is sitting on stilts among trees where a beautiful oak tree comes through the elevated outside dining patio area. The tree house is located on our 15 acres of wooded property with approx. 1 mile in walking trails in the woods on the property for exploring and observing wildlife. Our guests frequently notice our deer and other woodland creatures who share this space with us.

You'll find the kitchen fully equipped with a fridge, oversized sink, and a 5 burner stove/convection oven combo unit, as well as a family friendly eat-in bar which opens up to the living room. We provide dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and outdoor grill. Lots of counter space and serving space.  Living area features a Luxury massage chair, sofa that pulls into a bed and television. The bedroom features a queen sized bed, closet, and desk for office use.

The treehouse has a large outside patio up near the tree tops with a table and chairs for dining outside. There is a small mechanical room downstairs that also serves as a concrete storm shelter. 

The tree house is down the road from the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center and Lake Athens marina and The Boathouse Restaurant. Lake Athens Marina Boat ramp is just a mile down the road.

Guests are free to roam the property and trails and access all common areas. Be respectful of other guests quarters and private property.

Our property is a private 15 acres of forest located directly across the street from Lake Athens. We are home to much wildlife, including several heard of deer. Property also features a seasonal stream and approximately 1 mile of trails for exploring the woods and observing the wildlife.

 On our property we host 4 short term rental facilities. Each of our stays have their own private yard spaces for our guests to enjoy.

The host is available my messaging in person or by phone, but intends to let you have your space to yourselves.  The interaction level is up to you.

We are located off of a residential neighborhood which is home to lake houses and mainly weekenders. The neighborhood homes are either lake houses on the lake or near the lake.
We are directly behind the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, which can be visited for learning experiences, fishing in their private pond, and other local events.
In our same neighborhood is also the Lake Athens Marina, where you can launch your boat, kayak, canoe, or paddle board.
The Boathouse is located at the Marina and is an excellent place to eat or grab a drink. Tell Fran we said "hi" while you're there!
Our neighborhood is known in the area for it's wildlife, wild flowers, streams and coves.

Close to Canton, TX for First Monday Trade Days (20 miles). Tyler, TX is 40 minutes east. East Texas Arboretum is located in Athens, Athens Scuba Park that offers scuba-diving activities and classes.
For checkout guests need to clean all dishes before leaving. There will be an additional fees if the property is left excessively dirty, damaged or if there are missing items from the property. Dog fees are an additional flat fee of $40. Up to 2 dogs under 35lbs. are accepted. Larger dogs may be accepted too but please message me first. All dogs must be house trained. Absolutely no cats allowed. Check out is at 11am and typically the cleaners will be there at 11am. Checking out anytime after 11:30 there will be a $50 fee. Check out after 12:00 there will be a $100 fee.

No Hunting.

This home is on a septic system, please don’t flush anything but toilet paper.

There are 2 blue trash cans near the road or front gate for your garbage.

There are additional fees after 4 people that stay in the property.

Please watch your step. You are in the woods and you could possibly run across a snake.
