Cette maison est une merveilleuse évasion dans l'histoire. Construit au début des années 1900 et mis à jour plusieurs fois, il n'a eu que 5 propriétaires depuis sa création. Beaucoup de mises à jour pour les commodités modernes, mais tant de caractéristiques originales, y compris les poutres apparentes, les portes et les boiseries en chùtaignier ver ... vous sentirez le siÚcle du charme ancien. La propriété est trÚs privée et comprend de nombreuses activités de plein air à pratiquer si vous vous détendez à la maison et autour de la propriété. C'est l'une des maisons les plus proches du centre-ville d'Asheville que vous trouverez.

Seulement 5 miles de l'aĂ©roport d'Asheville, 6-7 miles du centre-ville d'Asheville, 4 miles de Blue Ridge Parkway et Biltmore Park. My family and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at this home. The house was a perfect fit! A large house with plenty of sleeping space, living space and a beautiful backyard with a view of the mountains. The home is over 100 years old so there is a lot of history and character but also very well maintained. The owner was very attentive and accommodating to all our needs.

William’s home is a beautiful piece of preserved history. Conveniently located and easy to access, the property is well maintained and extremely comfortable. It was the perfect location for my group of 14 to celebrate my parents’ birthday!

Our family had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. We appreciate historic properties, and this gorgeous old Tudor provided lots of enjoyment for all of us. With an old house comes things like bedrooms without closets and sometimes journeying to a bathroom in another part of the house, but we managed all those things in a spirit of cooperation. The outdoor spaces are wonderful with gathering places and also tucked away places for the introverts to get away. Bill is a communicative and attentive host. I highly recommend this house!!

This is a great home for a family gathering! Lots of space, including many different bedrooms that enable privacy. Beautiful backyard that enabled lots of kids to play, and functional back deck enables parents to comfortably watch. We had some challenges with the facilities, but Bill and team did what they could to remedy.

Beautiful home in wonderfully private setting even though on a neighborhood. Back patio fire pit and gas grill was such a wonderful setting for our family to enjoy outside. House has everything including space bedrooms and baths that you could need. Will be back !!

Wonderful time in Asheville

Our family of 10 had a great time staying at this house in Asheville!1) communication with Bill was great. He was very responsive to questions and checked in on us often by text. Although we did not need his assistance, I felt reassured that if we did, he was always available.2) one of the best parts of staying at this house was the location. 15 minutes from the airport. Less than 30 minutes from hiking trails, breweries, vineyards, shops, and restaurants. We were only 23 minutes from Black Mountain, which is one of our favorite towns to explore.3) The house: the house was more than large enough to accommodate our family of 10. My 18 year-old daughter enjoyed staying in the cottage with her friend. The grounds are lovely. We saw deer, fireflies, as well as a black bear (so don’t leave food outside overnight). We made s’mores over the fire pit one night and one of the marshmallows had dropped in the grass, so I’m sure that’s what brought the bear . The house itself is over 100 years old so the layout is a little different from what you would expect from a modern home. For the first couple days we would get turned around and lost in the house. 4) Lastly, the city of Asheville, and all it surrounding areas look like they have recovered from the hurricane remarkably. We really weren’t quite sure what to expect, but we were able to do almost everything we normally do when we vacation in this area. We can’t wait to return! Thank you Bill for allowing us to stay at your home!

If you are looking for charm & character, this is the place for you! If you are in need of accommodating a large group or family, this is your place! Our family carefully searched for a home which would be welcoming & spacious and one which wouldn’t frown upon us hosting a small event (a rehearsal dinner). After making inquiries of the host, we knew we had found the perfect place! This home is very spacious with the charm of yesteryear. Whether gathering outside around the fire or soaking in family chats in the cozy library, there was never a lack of space. The beds were very comfortable & the charming cottage was a delight to decorate for the newlyweds to spend a quick evening in before setting off for Hawai’i. The only thing lacking in this home was the occasional gnome you knew had to be hiding out somewhere on this property! Still, there were turkeys, squirrels & chipmunks to join us on the back patio for morning coffee! Our host was the most accommodating I ever had the pleasure of doing business with! (Thanks, Bill!) -The only word of caution I would make would be for guests to be aware that a few of the sets of stairs can be quite steep and a bit challenging for older guests. We had preassigned rooms prior to arrival, but did switch up to ensure older family members stayed on the main floor to avoid them having to navigate the stairs. It worked perfectly as the main floor bedroom has its own bath w/ handicapped bars. - Overall, this beautiful Tudor home is a 10 of 10!

A Perfect Home Base for Our Daughter’s Wedding in Mills River NC

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our daughter’s wedding weekend! This home beautifully combines the charm of an older house with the comfort of modern updates—especially the bathrooms, which were newly renovated and spotless.There was more than enough interior space for our whole family to relax, reconnect, and enjoy each other’s company between wedding events. The layout was perfect for both gathering together and finding a quiet spot when needed.The outdoor space was truly a highlight. From morning coffee on the porch to evening get-togethers under the stars, it gave us a peaceful and beautiful setting to create even more special memories as a family.We’re so grateful to have found this home and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for families or groups looking for a warm, inviting, and well-equipped home in the Asheville area!

Christmas family vacation

We booked well in advance due to the stay was on Christmas. Bill was very attentive to responding to any questions I had. There was a huge hurricane that went through Asheville and he was informative about the property’s condition. No damages, just the utilities went out and a few trees. My family had a wonderful stay, it checked all the boxes as far as rooms, space, and nearby attractions like the Biltmore estates. Its truely a unique home!

Wonderful Memories Made

Bill was a great host. Super quick to respond and always kind and gracious. The property severed our family of 23 perfectly. The extra large fridge was great and the dinning room table was well used! We brought our own pickle ball set and set it up in the basketball area. Hours of family fun. The room with the antique piano was special to our musical family. We brought along our violins, cellos, and horns and played music together every day. We would definitely stay here again if we were all in the area.

We really enjoyed staying at this home. It was very unique and everyone loved it. There was plenty of room for all. The only draw back was the bathroom situation. Four bedrooms had private baths. The rest had to share one that was in the basement. It was not convenient.

Perfect for our needs

The house was just what we needed. Plenty of room, and we love the layout. The location was close to the airport, which we visited 6 times to get family in and out for our grandmother's funeral. Host was very helpful! Very clean.

Perfect host, perfect place!

Bill was a fabulous host! Great communicator. Check in and out was a breeze. Our large family included infants, children and teens. The outdoor space was perfect for playing! The adults enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor lighting. My elderly father had a perfect stay in the quaint apartment on the property. It was nice for him to come and go as he needed. The baby grand piano was also a nice touch as many in the family play. Finally, Bill thought of everything as he decorated the home for Christmas! Minutes away from anything we needed it was the perfect stay! Thanks again, Bill. We will be back.

Enough bedrooms for the entire family

My family from around the country chose Asheville as the place to spend a long weekend to celebrate Christmas together. This home has enough bedrooms to fit everyone. My daughter wanted to stay in a cute cottage, that’s exactly what she got!

We picked this location because our daughter wanted a cute cottage in Asheville to stay in. Our family which is 8 plus her in laws, a family of 9 all stayed here. Other family members stayed at other rentals in the area and we all got together for dinner one evening and still had plenty of room!! We had children ages 6-18 and they all enjoyed playing in the huge yard, with the basketball goal, and many extras in the garage. This property has so much character and history. Well worth every penny. Would definitely return!

Wonderful property for our Family!

The property was absolutely beautiful with so much space and amenities for our family to enjoy while attending our son’s Wedding. Plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms and loved the cottage. The history and unique features such as the library, large dining room and outside entertainment space made it just perfect! We will definitely stay again when in Asheville. Thank you Bill for being a great host. We appreciate the communication, updates and getting us extra firewood when we needed it!

Property needs TLC

Prior to writing this review I reached out to the owner to share our feedback. Bill however threw everything back at me stating that it was “our responsibility” to report these issues to him. Frankly we were on vacation and for what we paid, this house should have been “ready” for us to enjoy. Upon arrival the owner contacted me to inform of a few items that were not working (the top oven), broken (handrail on staircase) and the musty smell in the cottage. I felt slightly deceived of the last minute information. This home needs attention, there were several lights burned out, the sofa cushions were worn and torn and some of the knobs did not work properly. In the kitchen the silverware drawer falls off track when pulled open that a few times almost fell on our toes. Many cobwebs in the bedrooms and the lower bedroom and cottage smelled musty (even with windows opened the smell would not go away
.concerning that we have been breathing in mold) Bill promised me a refund
. which I’m still waiting to see.

Great place to relax and play

Family gathered to spread the ashes of my parents. There was plenty of room for a large dining time with a fire pit time after. Little ones played with toys and read books. Late night movies at the couch followed. A great place to restore after some somber times during the day. Beautiful home and grounds outside!
