Viva Bavaria, A-Frame w/ free Summer Pool Access!

Our classic A-Frame cabin is located less than 25mi from the Bear Valley Ski Resort and Lake Alpine. You’re close to the town of Arnold, yet tucked away among beautiful tall trees and 5,000ft altitude for excellent winter and nature experiences. Listen to the sounds of the forest - and nothing else - during mild summer evenings on the redwood deck, enjoy the Sierra skies with thousands of stars while sipping on a glass of wine and sitting in one of the provided Adirondack lounging chairs. You have the entire cabin to yourself and access to the onsite shed for extra storage space to store your skis and bikes. The home has just above 1,200 square feet of tastefully upgraded living space. You’ll appreciate the carefully designed blend of mid-century modern furniture, boho style elements and alpine touches in our original 1970’s A-Frame vacation home.

The cabin has three sleeping areas (two bedrooms and one loft), one full bathroom on the main living floor, an open kitchen, dining and living space and one half bathroom on the loft level. The upstairs beds can be arranged as a king-sized configuration or as two separate twin beds. Most mattresses have new memory foam toppers and European bedding for excellent sleeping comfort. A perfect retreat for one or two couples, single travelers, digital nomads (200MB internet speed), and families.

A wood burning fireplace and central heating will keep the cabin warm and comfortable during the cold winter nights. 2 TVs with Netflix, Youtube and Amazon Prime, an Xbox game console and a good selection of board games, puzzles and children’s books will keep you entertained.

The outside area of the house has a large, wrap-around outdoor deck with a gas BBQ, dining set and deck chairs. There is also a tree swing for kids (use at own risk). During the summer months, you'll have full access to Big Trees Village Recreational Center, which boasts bocce, pickleball, tennis & basketball courts, volleyball, ball field, frisbee golf, playground, picnic & bbq area, snack bar and 2 pools!

The main level of the house has two the bedrooms (1BR with a queen size bed, 1BR with a double bed), a full bathroom with a shower tub, and a combined living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen (full-size fridge and stove/oven, coffee machine, crockpot, waffle iron, coffee grinder and blender). Upstairs is the lofted sleeping area with two twin beds (can also be moved together for a large king-size sleeping area) and a half bathroom.

Access Information: You will receive check-in instructions, including your access code for entry, 2-4 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. Please be sure to check your junk/spam email, as sometimes these instructions end up there.

Pet Policy: This cabin is not pet friendly - If a pet is brought to a non-pet friendly cabin, there will be a $1,000 fee charged to card on file.

Tenant must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Communication: Property management will contact tenant by their preferred method of communication (personal email, text, etc.) to send a required rental agreement, check-in instructions, etc.

Payment (where applicable): A 2% surcharge (of the total transaction amount) will be added to your transaction charges when your credit card is charged. Upon booking, $300, plus the c/c fee, is due immediately and is charged to the credit card on file. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival (if you are booking a stay that is sooner than 30 days from the booking date, the full amount is due immediately & will be charged to your card on file). We will accept payment by check for the final payment, as long as your arrival date is further out than 45 days. If you wish to pay by check, please email our office immediately to advise us NOT to charge your card on file for the final payment. Please note that if your check is not received by the 30 day mark, your credit card on file will be charged, regardless of previous arrangement. All payments are due in full 30 days prior to your arrival.
