After ascending a few steps, you are welcomed into a warm and inviting home full of character. The interior unfolds in a bright open-plan space, where a cozy lounge with a fireplace creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxing evenings, seamlessly connected to a fully equipped kitchen and a beautifully traditional bathroom. From the lounge, a staircase leads to the authentic ontas—a charming traditional attic that captures the true essence of Cretan architecture, which features a comfortable double bed, while two additional single beds on the same level provide flexible accommodation for extra guests, making the space both romantic and practical.



On the lower level, an additional private room offers a comfortable double bed, its own hot tub, and a fully renovated, spacious bathroom. All essential amenities are thoughtfully provided, ensuring a seamless, relaxing, and truly carefree stay.

The Neighborhood:

Tucked into the rolling hills of southern Crete, the small village of Rotasi (Ρωτάσι) offers a peaceful, authentic Cretan lifestyle surrounded by olive groves and vineyard landscapes. Located about 45 km south of Heraklion, near the foothills of the Asterousia Mountains, Rotasi is ideal for those seeking tranquility while remaining within easy reach of beaches, history, and daily conveniences.



Though quiet and residential in character, Rotasi is well supported by nearby villages. Just a short 5–10 minute drive away, Pyrgos serves as the local hub for everyday needs. Here you’ll find small supermarkets and mini markets for groceries, fresh bread, dairy products, fruit and vegetables, as well as pharmacies, bakeries, cafés, and essential services. Larger shopping options, banks, and additional amenities are available in Moires, about 15–20 minutes away, making longer stays comfortable and convenient.



Although inland, Rotasi provides easy access to some of Crete’s most beautiful beaches along the south coast (Libyan Sea). The relaxed seaside village of Tsoutsouros is about 35–40 minutes by car, offering a long pebbly beach with crystal-clear waters and waterfront tavernas. Around 50–55 minutes away lies Myrtos, known for its charming setting and calm swimming conditions. A little farther east, about one hour’s drive, Koutsounari boasts Long Beach, a wide stretch of sand and small pebbles ideal for peaceful sunbathing. For those wanting a livelier scene on the north coast, Agia Pelagia and Ammoudara are roughly 1.5 hours away and offer organized beaches, cafés, and water sports.
