Welcome to our beach house! Comfort, quiet, and privacy await you at a charming and pet-friendly 2bdrm.
Featuring direct access to the top-rated Manila Dunes and easy walking distance to a secluded and breathtaking beach (with spectacular sunsets), this rare find has it all. 7 minutes from great dining options and storefronts in Downtown Eureka and driving distance to the best hiking on Earth. Includes a king size Tempurpedic mattress for restful sleep and full workstation equipped w/ monitor.

The space

For working professionals, entrepreneurs, students, or professors, our house features a desk and work station complete with 32" monitor, surge protector, and charging ports. A tall fence and long driveway create additional privacy and safe parking options within a friendly community. A short drive to majestic Redwood trails, a brief walk to your own slice o’ heaven beach, local shopping and dining options, easy access to HSU, plus luxurious home comforts, we’re proud to welcome you and hope you'll love this place as much as we do!

The Master Bedroom has an extremely comfortable California King Tempurpedic bed that is in itself worth the stay!

The work station includes a desk with USB outlets, 32” monitor and HDMI cable, comfortable high-back rolling chair, 430mps Wifi signal, and charging station.

The Living Room has a mounted 60” Smart TV and full entertainment center with streaming options that also includes board games. A second charging station and multiple outlets are available for your devices. Couch folds into another queen sleeper.

Our full kitchen has all the amenities, including microwave, toaster, and coffee maker as well as a selection of excellent local coffees that support our small businesses.

A second bedroom includes a comfy Queen bed with end table and dresser.

The bathroom has a bath/shower combination with a removable shower head and all the essentials.

A washer and dryer are available to wash your clothes and get rid of any sand or mud you accumulate on your local adventures. The dryer has a "Steamer" setting to get your clothes crisp and sharp!

Within minutes of charming Downtown Eureka and Arcata for great restaurants, store fronts, and night life, we support and promote local small businesses and feature local coffee from some of the best shops in town. Like wine? Let us know and we’ll make sure you get a complimentary bottle from a fabulous Humboldt winery.

Our first time to Eureka. Our VRBO was perfect for our needs. 2 seniors and a puppy. The awesome beach walks, from the house further down the road were perfect. Two bedrooms, but the bed we chose was so comfortable.

Jason gave great directions to the house. After the first time, it was easy to find. Cute and quiet, with a yard for the dog. He left us a bottle of wine which led to the discovery of a nice winery. If you have time, rake the Humboldt Bay cruise on the Maraket! Thank you Jason!

Great stay. Love the location, halfway between Eureka and Arcata. Cute home with a nice area for my dog to play in outside. The beds are really comfortable. I would definitely book a stay again if I am in the area.

Nice place

A little bit of a walk to the beach. You pass through some trees and brush. There are mosquito's as big as small aircraft, on the way. Please do as recommended and use mosquito spray. Nice beach with shells and sand dollars.

Great location and extremely pet friendly!

We stayed 5 nights. We loved how peaceful the neighborhood was and that the location was between both Eureka and Arcata. Your choice on flavor of town. Didn't realize there was a temperpedic which was an extra bonus for us. Beach was a short walk through an amazing sand dune area. Beach was off-leash and secluded. Communication was clear and precise. They warn you of ticks in tall grasses if you have an adventurous dog as we do. Loved the fire pit and fenced yard. Great place to stay for us and our puppy crew!

We stayed at the house for about 4 nights. It was clean and exactly as described. We appreciated the fenced in yard for our dogs. The complimentary bottle of wine was a special treat. Jay was responsive and helpful. The house was very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

This place is a gem

We couldn't have been more delighted with our stay at Bowie & Jay's Beach House. The place is spacious, comfortable, well-maintained, and well situated. Jay provided a very complete notebook of instructions and ideas for making the most of the stay. We were visiting family nearby, and it was easy to gather with them here. Everyone had a great time. We live in Pennsylvania, but we can't wait to return, when possible. Thank you, Jay, for your excellent hospitality!

Wonderful stay

This was a wonderful warm inviting place to stay. 2 great bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses. A+ for importance to me!!! Great kitchen, we used every day. Only thing was having to play with the shower. It was hard to get the right water temperature; either too hot or luke warm. Jared to find happy zone.. Thanks for the local wine

Great place to stay if you are hitting up the Redwoods

Cozy little place with most everything you will need. We came for a little beach time and hiking the redwoods. Beach was a little further away than we thought when we booked it(almost a half mile) but it is a nice walk through some sand dunes and we had that section of the beach to ourselves for the most part so the walk is worth it. It is about central in the redwoods for anything you want to do. We hit up alor of hiking on the north end and avenue of the giants to the south. Caught a nice little fishing charter out of Trinidad as well. sand dines

Dunes and Redwoods!

We so enjoyed our stay at this wonderful beach house. The location is incredible! Just a very short walk to the dunes and expansive beach which we often had all to ourselves. The location also gave us easy access to great restaurants and the redwoods (try Renata's Creperie) ! The house was spotless, the king bed sooooo comfortable, and the fenced yard perfect for our pup. We also really appreciated the ease of check in and check out without a huge list of things you have to do. We also loved the frogs that lulled us to sleep, the complimentary wine that Jason left for us, and the firepit which we didn't have time to use, but could imagine what a wonderful way to end the day. We'd definitely stay here again.

We loved the Beach House! It's a cute little bungalow by the beach in a quiet neighborhood, close to Arcata and CalPoly Humboldt where we attended our son's graduation during our stay. We especially enjoyed walking the dunes and beach right by the house. It was definitely one of our best get-aways!

Blissful Retreat!

Our first west coast adventure!

Jay and Bowie's Beach house was a highlight of our trip! It was perfectly located to any amenities we needed, as well as the Redwood National Park. The beach house was a cozy home away from home! Having soaps and whatnot along with the ability to do laundry, and coming back to a jug full of ice cold filtered water was just what we needed on our week-long west coast adventure! My husband, our teenaged son, and myself highly recommend this lovely house!
