Villa Anthos is an elegant 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms traditional stone cretan house in the heart of the Chania region; nestled in a tranquil setting with panoramic sea and mountain views, private pool and sunsets over Souda Bay and the lush hillsides, it offers modern and spacious living spaces indoors and outdoors.
Its privileged location makes the perfect holiday hideaway only 10mins away from sandy beaches and various mountain walks, and close to picturesque villages with traditional tavernas and all amenities.
THE SPACE:
From spacious accommodation to high-end amenities there is everything you need to make your stay unforgettable.
The newly renovated villa is one of three detached villas. The Villa is built over 2 floors and consists of 3 spacious bedrooms with A/C and direct access to the private pool, 2 bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable living areas with fire place, two terraces and vast outdoor spaces with beautiful landscaped garden.
At ground level you will find one of two bathrooms, newly fitted stone floor kitchen which extends into the the dining and living room. Moving through the living area you will step onto one of two outside terraces. At pool level you will find one bathroom, laundry room and three spacious and modern bedrooms each with its own unique features.
Surrounded by wonderful natural landscape, there are several spaces overlooking the stunning coastline, but the villas highlight is its sunset lounge under the pergola by the private pool that features an outdoor kitchen with fire pit, rotisserie, bbq and wood fired pizza oven, perfect for lounging, al fresco dining and taking in the stunning scenery!
BEDROOMS
All three bedrooms have A/C and are located on the ground floor with direct access to the pool and your own two seater table perfect for the first morning coffee. Each room has large wardrobes, dresser, bedside tables and a large confortable bed.
Mattresses size (UK size): Dream Bedroom: King Size / Orange Bedroom: King Size / Butterfly room: King size convertible into twin if necessary.
BATHROOMS
Each bathroom has WC and walk-in shower with beautiful marble walls. One is located at pool level and the other on the first floor.
LIVING ROOM
Located on the first floor next to the kitchen the living room has a large dining table comfortably sitting 8 ppl, 4 seater sofa bed and a 3 seater sofa, Smart TV and fire place. It extends onto a large terrace with magnificent sunset view over the bay. The terrace is furnished with a large wooden table which can accommodate 6-8ppl, 2 large armchairs with coffee table.
KITCHEN
Fully equipped high-end, generously stocked kitchen with breakfast bar looking out at the village and sea view. Amenities include: fridge freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, milk frother, french coffee press, sandwich toaster, Nutri bullet/smoothy maker, all necessary kitchenware and plenty of cupboard space. The kitchen has its own shaded terrace with pergola, tables and chairs to comfortably sit 4ppl perfect for chatting with guests when cooking or for early morning coffee.
OUTDOORS: You will be amazed by the expansive sea panoramas visible even while lazing in the pool. You can also see the beautiful traditional village of Gavalochori which is only 12mins walk down the hill.

Own parking space for one vehicle passed the gate and one space right outside the gate.
THE AREA
The Apokoronas district in the north-eastern corner of the Chania region and at the foot of the white mountains (Lefka Ori) is one of the greenest regions of Crete where you can find the island's only freshwater lake (Lake Kournas), Archeological sites, churches and monastries, picturesque villages and small beach resorts.
Nearby mountain villages:
Less than 10mins drive: Gavalohori (12mins walk, 3 mins drive), Vamos
Within 15-20mins drive: Douliana, Vryses, Fres, Platas with all facilities such as mini-markets, bakery, butchers, traditional grocery shops, cafés (with free Wi-Fi), post-office, bank (ATM), police station, pharmacy, health centre and petrol stations.
Nearby beaches and lakes: the beautiful shallow and sandy beach of Almyrida is less than 10mins drive from the house and Kalyves within 20mins. Just around the corner are Georgioupoli and its fresh water river joining the sea, Ombrosgialos bay perfect for snorkelling and scuba diving in the rocky inlets and turquoise sea and the peaceful and serene Lake Kournas.
Nearby historical & archeological site: ancient city of Aptera and Koules Ottoman fortress, the Monastery of Agios Georgios in Karydi, Agios Nikolaos church and much more.
