Chain O Lakes Lake Front Channel Lake

Welcome to Woodbine! Relax and enjoy beautiful Channel Lake any season of the year. When you just need to escape to the water, this vintage lake front house is your perfect getaway. A boating and fishing paradise, not all new, but so comfortable and such a view! Located, directly on Channel Lake with a sandy beach and a pier. Boat house stocked with Kayaks and water toys. You can relax by the water, swim, fish everyday right from the pier or beach, launch one of our kayaks any time or rent a boat from the marina down the road. You can cook a fabulous meal in the kitchen or barbeque on the grill. Easy clean up with new dishwasher. Relax by the fire pit, play board games or watch a movie on the provided smart tv. During winter, you can go ice fishing, ice skating, snow sledding, skiing, snowmobiling, or simply relax by the fire... It’s all here!
This vintage lakefront house is fully furnished and has window unit air conditioning units in each room and fireplace to keep you toasty warm in the winter. There is a queen bed in main bedroom, and two twin beds in the second bedroom. Spacious living room has a daybed with trundle. A smart tv and Wi-Fi will allow you to connect anywhere in the house. The kitchen includes all standard amenities: Refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dining table, Keurig, toaster, blender, dishwasher, ample counter space, pots & pans, and all utensils. Washer and dryer in the basement. The front yard has a fire pit and outdoor seating so you can sit back and soak in the panoramic view of the lake.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
High speed internet is available in and around the house. Five 2-person kayaks & six life jackets are available from May to October free of charge. To use the kayaks, please request a waiver form after booking the trip which will be emailed to you. Close by channels make for wonderful kayaking but please wear provided lifejackets for your safety. We highly recommend hard bottom swim socks or old gym shoes when swimming in the lake. For the firepit in the yard, the closest place to get firewood is at the landscape place on 173 in Antioch. Wilmot Mountain Ski Resort and Snow sledding hill is 10 minutes away. Richmond Hunting Club 11 minutes away. Gurnee Mills Outlet is 22 minutes away. Pleasant Prairie Premium outlets 18 minutes away. Antioch Shops and restaurants 8 minutes away. Chain O’Lakes State Park 9 minutes away.

Classic lake house charm

The house, property & neighborhood are the filled with midcentury classic lake house charm. The house is warm and cozy. It was built over a long time using a variety of woods in a fun and quirky way. You can feel that it has hosted generations of family gatherings. Very restful.

Great Location / Wonderful Stay

Went here on a bit of a nostalgia trip with my family and our dog. I grew up near the property on this lake in the 1970s. It was wonderful to be back. The property was just what we were looking for and the owners were very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating.

Nice location clean home

Booked the stay last minute and was accommodated by the owner . Was helpful and responsive if we had any issues. No central ac but had sufficient units in every room so no worries. Plenty of dishes and utensils and had coffee and even a gift basket. Need only bring your food and clothes. Located directly lake front with fire pit and kayaks for your use.

Overall excellent experience!

We were very pleased with our stay and experience on Channel Lake. The house was very clean, with a nostalgic charm. We grilled out, relaxed on the back porch, and enjoyed bonfires by the lake. The host left treats for our arrival and was very responsive when needed. The town of Antioch was very cute. We enjoyed dinners at multiple restaurants downtown and spent time on the lake thanks to a boat rental. We would definitely recommend this property!

Great location and rental for the price! This is a nice quiet area for families!!!!

The property owner checked in several times to make sure everything was good! This is a very cozy 2 bedroom home with a nice addition in the back to watch tv and view the lake. We had a nice fire by the lake and cooked s’mores with our kids. This is a very peaceful area. Neighbors on both sides were friendly! My daughter loved the board games, the kitchen has everything you could want. Nice selection of coffee and chips and water were left by the host!! We were able to dock our 18.5 ft boat with no issues. We would definitely rent again!!!!
