Granite Cabin | Lakefront Retreat w/ Private Dock
Some lake places feel like a lot of rules. This one feels like a deep exhale.
Granite Cabin sits on a private stretch of Granite Lake shoreline just outside Annandale â a classic Minnesota lake community about 65 miles west of Minneapolis. The moment you pull in off the wooded driveway and catch your first glimpse of the water, the weekâs noise starts to fade.
The cabin itself is full of character: knotty pine walls and ceilings, a decorative stone fireplace that anchors the living room, an open-concept kitchen and dining area, and a sunroom wrapped in windows with nothing but lake as far as you can see. Itâs a three-bedroom layout with room to spread out â a queen bedroom with a peaceful view, a bunk room the kids will claim immediately, and a cabin bedroom upstairs with yellow walls and soft light filtering off the water.
Outside, a private dock extends out over the water â ready for swimming, fishing, or just sitting with a cup of coffee and watching the morning come in. Thereâs a fire pit ringed with Adirondack chairs for evenings that donât want to end, and a public boat launch just minutes away if youâre trailering a boat.
Annandale is a real small town â a bakery, a hardware store, a few good restaurants, and people who wave. Itâs the kind of place you might wander into for morning pastries and end up staying an hour. The surrounding Wright County lakes region is built for slow weekends: fishing, paddling, pontoon rides, and long meals with no particular timeline.
Minneapolis and St. Paul are about an hour away when you need them â but honestly, you wonât.
