Parking (2 voitures). Cheval de bricolage livrĂ©e. Ne pas fumer.. Paddock Cottage est une charmante et attrayante ancienne maison de ferme avec une cheminĂ©e Ă  foyer ouvert. BĂ©nĂ©ficiant d'une vue splendide et situĂ© dans une ferme mixte, avec des vaches, des veaux, des chevaux et trois cochons de compagnie appelĂ©s Prudence, Portia et Primrose, Ă  environ 3 km au nord du bourg historique d'Alnwick. Les deux gĂźtes sont meublĂ©s et Ă©quipĂ©s pour offrir un style d'hĂ©bergement confortable dans un endroit calme, accessible par une voie de campagne qui traverse la ferme. C'est un endroit superbe pour vos vacances car la campagne environnante est magnifique et le magnifique littoral avec ses nombreuses plages de sable fin se trouve Ă  quelques minutes en voiture. Un bon choix de chĂąteaux, de demeures seigneuriales et d’autres attractions fascinantes se trouvent Ă©galement Ă  proximitĂ©. Golf et Ă©quitation Ă  proximitĂ©. Boutiques et pubs 2 miles.

Great base to discover Northumberland

The cottage was lovely and cosy despite some quite wild and windy weather during our recent stay. Good central heating and the option to use the open fire to top this up or just to enhance the cosy atmosphere. Great communication with the hosts and a lovely chocolate cake to welcome us. Ideal location to explore Northumberland.

The only problem was that there wasn’t much space to put food as the kitchen was so well equipped, it would have been good to have 2 toilets but that’s not something that can be changed, a real blessing to have all firewood and coal provided and such a good fire , and we’ll be back Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A pleasant place to stay, out in the countryside but within easy distance of Alnwick. Good views, and a generous garden area (not that we sat out in it in November). The house is in a busy farm, but we were not disturbed. It was warm and comfortable. The flowers and chocolate cake were appreciated, and it is dangerously convenient to be in the midst of a pudding-making establishment! Equipment was up to standard, though we'd have liked some tumblers in the kitchen, more appropriately-shaped for the local Alnwick rum and Hotspur gin and tonic! It should be made clear on the website that the cottage is not detached; it didn't affect us on this occasion, but at other times, and with other neighbours, it might have done.

Our eighth visit to Paddock Cottage and as always we enjoyed this cosy warm cottage and the lovely fresh flowers and delicious chocolate cake. The owners are friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The garden is enclosed and great for dogs. The farm itself is in a lovely spot with views looking out to the Cheviots. Alnwick is just a couple of miles away and the beaches can all be reached in half an hour or less. All in all a great place to stay and we will be back there next year.
