Sunset Bay is a great family cottage, located on a quiet bay close to Dorset and Baysville, between Lake of Bays and the Algonquin Highlands. Approximately 40 minutes to larger towns like Huntsville and Bracebridge. The cottage is also a short drive to Algonquin Park, the Dorset Tower, Lake of Bays Brewing Company, and the S.S. Bigwin Boat Cruise. Close to snowmobile trails and fully insulated for those that like to experience a winter getaway!
PROPERTY
SUNSET BAY is perched atop an elevated vantage and enjoys excellent privacy overlooking a quiet bay. As you make your way to the waterfront, there is a large dock that provides boat parking on either side, plus 15' of water depth, perfect for jumping in on a hot summer day. The property is located at the end of a private road with no traffic, is fully winterized and close to snowmobile trails!
INTERIOR
A fireplace sits in the corner of the leather furnished Great Room with large flat screen TV providing full visibility from all angles. Tall cathedral ceilings give the cozy space the sensation of openness, while the many windows spread natural light across the earthy tones and wooden finishes of the cottage interior. Through a sliding door, guests can find addition space for gathering and relaxation in the Muskoka Room which overlooks the bay. The room includes a small dining table and sitting area to bask in the view. Screens to open or close and blinds to shield the strong sunsets that you can't help but enjoy! Directly to the rear of the great room, a marble kitchen counter doubles as a bar style sitting area. Inside the kitchen, guests will find stainless steel appliances, including a large fridge and wine cooler, among other staple pieces. A few steps from the kitchen, a separate dining area provides seating for six, bathed in the light from nearby windows. The main floor of the cottage also comes complete with a full, three piece washroom.The cottage sleeps a total of eight guests in its three spacious bedrooms. The main floor has 2, the upper floor is the Master. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, while a second has the benefit of a queen, and bunk bed. Just beyond the dining area, a staircase leads to the cottage's second floor, complete with a loft style lookout that oversees the lower floor of the cottage with an office space that could double as a reading room. Down the hall, guests will find the gorgeous private master bedroom, with king sized bed and accompanying five-piece ensuite bathroom.Additionally, all bedrooms have been equipped with ceiling fans for greater airflow and temperature control throughout.
