Special Location Beach Apartment with Pool View at Quinta da Barracuda

The cozy and peaceful gated-condominium of Quinta da Barracuda in Albufeira is only 200 meters from the nearest beach (Praia dos AlemĂŁes) and a 10 minutes walk from the Main Strip of Albufeira where daytime, evening, and late night entertainment abound.

The quaint Old Town of Albufeira sits just 1.5 kilometers away in the other direction. The beach Praia dos AlemĂŁes connects directly to the famous old town Fisherman's Beach (Praia dos Pescadores), which means a sandy 20-minute walk can take you directly to the old center of Albufeira.

As well as a large swimming pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, the condominium has a special beach-access gate along with free front courtyard and underground garage parking.

The apartment is fully equipped with a modern kitchen which includes oven, stove, microwave, fridge, pots and pans, wine glasses, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron and board, etc. The bedroom has a large wardrobe for neatly storing all clothing items. A flat-screen TV in the living room is set up with IPTV, giving access to channels and broadcasts from all over the world, and stylish and comfortable indoor and outdoor dining furniture make for a relaxing experience when supping in situ.

One bath, hand and beach towel is provided per guest. All beds are dressed with linen appropriate to the season. Extra towels and linen, as well as mid-stay cleans, are available at an additional cost.

Low-cost airport transfers and cot and high-chair rental can be offered on request.

The property is excellent and in a great location. Extremely easy to get around if you have a car. Easy walk to the beach. The property manager was helpful with anything we might not have fully understood such as the TV. Well equipped apartment. We would rent again.

Das Appartement hat eine Toplage, jedoch benötigt man ein Auto. Es war gut ausgestattet und es fehlte an nichts. Die Einstellung des TV ist kompliziert und mussten auf diesen verzichten. Der Pool war sauber und gross. Das Badezimmer war veraltert und besonders die Wasserzufuhr im Bad/Dusche. Es gab viele Schwankungen mit dem Warmwasser.

Pros: The location is great, easy access to the beach, away from the busy area and quiet. Communication with the property manager Thomas was great, he was very responsive and detailed. Check in was easy.Outfitting of the apartment: it had most things a family would need on vacation.Cons: disconnect in communication between property management and fulfillment. I booked the property to have a separate sleeping arrangement with my daughter, however, the bedding, towels, and all necessary items were provided for one, so we ended up sleeping together. She had to use the beach towel for cleaning herself after the shower since no effort was made to bring extra set after the contact (not really that late in the day). We were told that they were notified about one person. The reservation was originally for 2 and was made well ahead.The water in the shower is not regulating. It can blast you hot or cold, very inconsistent and unsafe.Refrigerator has broom, ironing board and other stuff stored behind it, which disconnected refrigerator (just an assumption) and resulted in produce spoilage. It was visibly plugged in and cool inside, so we did not notice and had to through away about 30 euro worth of produce next day and look for a restaurant to eat.Pictures need to change, for example, bed is not looking the same as in pictures.There were 2 outages the day before check-out which impeded our plans.Washing machine can be run only through the app, which is big inconvenience...

Clear communication provided prior to the trip making everything go smoothly on arrival. Lovely property with all amenities provided. Quiet and spacious pool facilities with a lovely sea view. Good location for accessing Albufeira New Town (Strip) and Old Town but located in secluded area. Fantastic beach 100m from property.

Great place to stay.

Very clean and well equipped apartment with large balcony in an ideal situation. Easy 2 minutes walk to the beach.Good security, parking and pool.Good internet and amazing range of TV stations however some buffering as TV through internet. Check in and contact with property manager very good. A super place to stay .

Excellent Stay

Overall the apartment was clean, the check-in process was straight forward, communication with all property managers was excellent and prompt, and the location was close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and nightlife. The best part was access to the pool which the kids preferred over the beach. Highly recommend.

Fab choice!

Great, spacious 1bed apartment which was perfect for us. It was spotless and had everything we needed for a few days. Nice and peaceful location, 10m walk to strip and 20m along the beach into old town. We didn’t use the pool, but it was always busy, although quiet and calm. The big balcony was perfect! We’d certainly stay again.

Love the Algarve

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was quiet and well situated. It was a ground floor condo that looked out over the pool. So nice! It was a very short walk to the beach and we could take advantage of all the little restaurants along the beach. It was a nice walk to Old Town to do some shopping, and there was a little grocery store a block away from the condo that had a few things. The hosts met us on arrival and gave us a quick tour of our condo and surrounding area. They were very responsive to our questions throughout our stay. We would definitely go back.

I knew I hit the jackpot when the taxi driver said “ this is the best spot to stay” modern, clean and private yet close to tons of restaurants The beach is lovely although there is a hill to get back up! Wishing we could have stayed longer

Perfectly equipped appartment

I was amazed by the absolute cleanliness and all the kitchen equipment. Even towels for the beach are provided. I enjoyed the sun baths on house‘s own terrace. You can hear and see the ocean. The neighborhood is friendly and relaxed. Because of the gates I felt secure. The only thing I had to get used to was the chlorinated tapped water (in Germany we can drink tapped water). So you have to buy every water. The smell is sometimes disturbing, but is in the nature of things. There is a little shop for groceries just around the corner and it‘s only few steps to the beach. I really can recommend the appartement! (Btw: be aware that the toilet oper is limited ;)) Many thanks to Kevin, who made my arrival the best!!
