Family Christmas Trip

Great house! Only complaint was the non shoveled walkway when we arrived and the outdated game room. Pool sticks and balls need some upgrades. The old lady at the security booth was extremely rude and unprofessional.

Thanksgiving with Family

A house that was rated at 9.8 out of 10 and described as able to accommodate 12 was the description we read. Unfortunately, the description and rating wasn’t what we expected when arriving.Three of the couches in the living area were broken. 2 dining room chairs were broken and unable to be used properly. 12 people staying at the house requires that to be enough silverware for each person which there was not, and this was addressed before our stay. The frying pans were all scratched and in poor shape, unable to be used due to the Teflon coming off. The mattresses on the bunkbeds were extremely thin and uncomfortable. the bedroom off the kitchen had books holding up the bottom of the bed. The couch in the basement had mold on it. And the freezer had frost that made it Difficult to open and close. I had to chip away some of the frost so we could close it properly. Also the Coffee maker is missing the basket that is used to hold the coffee.I did speak to Iris about all this. Her response to the couches were
.well can you sit on them. Whether I could sit on the couches or not, We should not have couches that have broken backs or any of the other problems that we occurred.For the most part yes the house was clean and it was nice, but for the money we paid the house should Have reflected the price and it did not! I spoke with Iris. She said she was going to the house to look and would correct any problems.

We hosted a friend and family gathering in this amazing property during the Christmas holiday. The host, Iris had already placed the Christmas tree, lights and other decorations prior our arrival. All the kids felt in love with this dwelling and asked for an extended stay. Cheers.

Plenty of room for everyone

Really great place to stay with a group/family. We had 5 adults, 3 teens, 3 kids, and a toddler in our group and we had plenty of room. The bathrooms had shampoo/conditioner/body wash which was nice. If you are staying for a few days, bring your own laundry detergent and dishwasher pods, as there are only a few provided for you. I recommend also bringing extra pillows and blankets, as there are none in the closets. The fire pit was nice and you will see plenty of deer in the yard during your stay. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with your basics. There is a coffee maker with coffee grounds provided. The lakes were wonderful and clean. The pools are refreshing, but VERY cold! If you are able to, see if you can check in a little early as the line for the community gets long and can take awhile if other guests are also checking in. The host and owner were great and worked with us to add an extra day to our trip since we were having a great time. The community is a short 10-20 minute drive to many beautiful and scenic hiking locations. All in all, it was a great trip and I would recommend staying here!

Great vacation stay

Overall our stay was amazing. The house has been kept well from inside. Outside, it needs some yard maintenance. Atleast the grass and weeds need to be cut as the flies and other insects make it their home. The fire pit was helpful but needs repair. The community where the house is located is very peaceful. We took kids to the community pool where they splashed a lot but the pool is not heated. It was a bit cold but kids had fun. Washer-Dryer within the unit helps a lot but as we stayed for 4 days, we felt we needed some more supplies like 8-10 laundry and dish washing pods and not just 4. The grill starter ran out of battery and needs replacement but it wasn't hard to light it up using lighter. We had great grilling time and there was an extra propane cylinder in case it was needed. Distance to big grocery stores is with 20-30 mins but you can get basic things at the near by Dollar General which is about 8-10 mins away. Getting inside the community was a hassle as you have to show the entry pass. They should give a temp card so you enter straight through gates and disable the card on the last day. We encountered lot of deers that came close enough to eat food from our hands. Great location and the property. We will surely return sometime.

Nice house in a nice neighborhood

My family and I stayed over a long weekend getaway in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. House was clean, with ample towels, toilet paper and kitchen supplies provided. The basement was nice and the kids enjoyed it, it did have a slight musty odor however. There is only one television in the whole house, not a huge deal since we were busy exploring but just an FYI. It slept 8 of us comfortably. Iris is great with communication. Suggestions: bring extra dishwasher pods, kitchen towels and laundry detergent, buy your own firewood.

Great family house

My family and I spent 3 days at the house. The house was very clean and well organized. The contact was very helpful and flexible. There were many amenities available to use such as pools and 4 lakes. We had a wonderful time and very much appreciate the owner sharing her home with us.

Easter family reunion

Our daughters and their families gathered together at this lovely home to celebrate Easter. This well kept home had the perfect layout both in bedroom/ bathroom arrangements and the open kitchen to living room areas. The living room had ample seating for all to relax and the kitchen was perfect for those cooking to be a part of activities. We enjoyed quiet walks in the neighborhood, use of the basketball court, and a fabulous hike to the falls at nearby Hickory Run park. We all had a wonderful stay at 51 Shawnee. Communication with Iris was excellent with instant responses.

What a great place to gather the family

Fantastic rental property. Couldn’t have asked for more. Gathered with my siblings and kids, 4 separate families all nestled into one house. Kids had a blast with air hockey, pool table, connect 4 and movie night. Kitchen was perfect size and function to feed 4 families without being too big to cause too much clean up. Stayed a week, 15 mins to Big Boulder, 25min to Jack Frost for skiing, and didn’t even have time to gather around the fire pit. Next time. Would definitely rent again. Cheers.

Amazing Trip

Stayed with a group of friends and we had an amazing time! From check in to check out it was a great stay. The host and I communicated back and forth frequently and was very quick to answer. The basement was a great addition with all of the games that were offered. If we travel back to the poconos definitely would stay here again!
