With a network of paths, some dating back to Roman times, the area is a green oasis, even in the hot Andalusian summer months. El Molino is an ideal base from which to explore this magnificent region.
Set in some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in southern Spain, amidst cork oak and chestnut forests, the Molino RĂo AlĂĄjar cottages provide a cosy retreat in an unrivalled setting.
LA CIGĂEĂA has 2 floors, on the ground floor we have the living room or lounge, kitchen, dining room and bathroom with shower. The kitchen is on one side of the lounge, it has a five burner gas hob, electric oven, fridge and a good selection of stainless steel cooking utensils, cutlery, jugs and earthenware bowls. The lounge has a TV and DVD, we have a collection of DVDs and CDs for your use, this is in the communal lounge where you can select from free of charge.
The bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed, which is accessed from an outside entrance to the house, as both the bedroom and the bathroom have no internal communication with the rest of the rooms in the house, although it has underfloor central heating. The upper floor is accessed from a wooden staircase that starts in the living room. This floor has 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each bedroom. First there is a bedroom with 2 beds, a corridor (gallery) which leads to the second bedroom. Although they are separated from each other, from the living room we can see both bedrooms. The terrace gives a magnificent view of the garden and its surroundings.
The six stone houses stand on the right bank of the river AlĂĄjar, with commanding views of the valley and surrounding mountains. The chestnut wood used in both the ceiling beams and the windows, with honey-coloured tones, together with the reddish colour of the handmade tiles, flood the rooms with a warm and soft luminosity.
