Absolute Beachfront Adventure Bay

The White House is a charming three-bedroom beachfront cottage nestled just across from the sand and lapping waves of Adventure Bay. This classic cottage is ideal for families, groups or a couple and is the perfect nest to escape, unwind and rejuvenate. Enjoy the unique vistas and attractions only Bruny Island offers, fine wine, oysters, and spectacular local produce. Watch the prolific birdlife, dolphins or whales, or the ever-changing skyscape.

Let the sound of the waves relax you at the White House on Adventure Bay. Perfectly located at the quiet corner end of the bay, the White House has a large garden with stunning views over the water and yet only three doors from the delightful Mari Bruny coffee shop / restaurant, and the well-stocked local store. Stroll the white sand of the beach, swim for the brave, go fishing, or enjoy the many magnificent hiking trails. Our favourite is the walk over Fluted Cape.

The cottage has a fresh contemporary décor and bathroom, and features a fully equipped dine-in kitchen, fridge, stove, microwave and outdoor BBQ if you wish to self-cater. This cosy three-bedroom beach cottage has two comfortable queen beds and a double bed in the sleep-out making it ideal for families or groups.

The indoor fireplace is the perfect spot to snuggle up with a book or enjoy some evening board games with friends and family.

Enjoy a glass of wine on the front veranda and take in the breathtaking unobstructed views into the bay and the hills beyond.

Try your luck fishing from the beach, dinghy or nearby rocks. There is a boat launching ramp nearby.

Facilities include Air Conditioning / Heating, and TV. Quality linen, and towels included. There is also an internal laundry with washer and dryer.

January 2024 - Have just returned from a delightful week at the White House. Bruny is buzzing and better than ever. Freshly baked artisanal woodfired sourdough is sold an on honour system from the side of the Bruny Island Main Road (B66) near Alonnah (The Bruny Baker Bread Fridge).

The Cottage is in great shape and has had a total makeover. Evening meals are available at Mari Bruny, Hotel Bruny year round, and thee Adventure Bay Bowls Club (Fri / Sat evenings). Mari Cafe is around a minutes walk away, with consistently good food and coffee.

We love the morning tea and raspberry jam scones, at the Raspberry Farm on Lockleys Road, a three minute drive from the White House. We were so impressed we bought jam to bring home.

Yes Drive Car Rentals allow their vehicles to use the ferry and come to Bruny Island. Just mention my name when making a booking.
