Die Lage des Marriott Hotel ist perfekt. Man hat die Altstadt vor der Tür und kann alles zu Fuss erreichen. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Sehr hilfe reich under freundlich mitarbeiter. Raum sauber. Frühstuck gibt es vielle variaten und es hat sehr gut geschmekt.

Fantastic hotel in a superb location

Pros: The big, spacious, quiet rooms
Cons: The parking charges are astronomical! Park at Sint-Michiels nearby instead.
The Marriott Gent has to be one of the, if not the, best hotel in the city of Gent. It has a superb central location; cleverly combines a modern-meets-traditional design; has big, comfy, quiet rooms; and excellent bar and restaurant in the atrium. Would recommend and stay again.

Superb hotel in an unbeatable location

We had the misfortune to arrive in Ghent when substantial repairs were being done to one of the key bridges in the centre of the city and diversion signs confronted us at nearly every turn. However after excellent instructions from one of the staff at Foley's Irish Bar we found the Marriott - a combination of a traditional frontage on the main canal backed by a great modernisation with the rooms laid out lining its bright 5-storey atrium. The reception staff were very helpful - giving us a city map and outlining the best places to go for food, shopping and sightseeing. The room was large, bright and comfortable. The only potential downside was the parking charge at the hotel - which we didn't utilise. Their charge of €30/day is twice what it costs in the nearby St Michiel's Car Park. A small blemish in an otherwise lovely stay.
