Relax in this delightful 2-bedroom cottage in Snug Harbor with views of the Point Judith Salt Pond from the deck-the best spot for morning coffee. Southwind has a fully-fenced yard with sun and shade for kids and dogs. They'll want to spend all day outside, relaxing in the salty, sea breeze. Pet fee is $50/night for well-trained adult dogs only. Inside--1 queen bed, 1 bunk bed. Linens and towels provided. Dogs get towels, too! Please remember to check the "I am traveling with a dog" box when you book. Kitchen is fully-stocked. Southwind is perfect for a small family or a group. The cottage and the property are non-smoking and offer all the necessary amenities, including a washing machine and dryer, WiFi, AC, heating, outdoor entertainment areas with fire pit, extensive seating, grill, hammock, a separate garden area for tea or just quiet time; and 2 parking spots. The main bathroom with a small tub and shower is supplemented by an outside shower. Enjoy meals and game nights together at the large tables inside or out. Walk 3 mins to breakfast or lunch at the Snug Harbor Marina; or 15 mins for dinner and cocktails at the Matunuck Oyster Bar or Capt'n Jacks; bike or walk 1.5 miles to East Matunuck State Beach and 1.8 miles to Skips Cafe in Jerusalem; or drive 10 mins to Brickleys in downtown Wakefield, Iggys in Narragansett, the Block Island Ferry, or the Ocean Mist in Matunuck. 20-25 minutes to Newport and Bowen’s Wharf. Bring your kayaks, paddle boards, boats - the public boat launch is a block away. Enjoy all that South County has to offer or just hang out on the deck or back yard as you soak in the salt air and light sea breezes.

I will miss the beautiful sunrise

Wonderful property and excellent location to many surrounding communities and places of interest. Walking distance from a few of the most popular restaurants.Our morning walks were incredible!!! Loved our stay and our host was very friendly and attentive to our needs, the guest book was very helpful and informative Thank you so much !

Amazing place

Having grown up in the South Kingstown area, I have returned often in the past 50 years, and stayed in many differing rental locations. This cottage is hands down the best place we have stayed. Great cottage, great location, fantastic owners. The owners have gone out of their way to provide the little things to make your stay special . And if you have a dog, there could not be a better place for it to stay. Fenced yard, great view from the deck, great back yard with hammocks, grill, picnic area, and a fire pit. The owners are invested in your having a great time. The owners are extraordinarily helpful in meeting your needs.

The property was fabulous! Great location with plenty of dining choices nearby. The appointments were very well thought out and the flow was relaxing. Tommey and Joanna were very gracious hosts. Our Golden's enjoyed the ocean. The doggie door is a great extra that gave them easy access to the beautiful fenced yard! Thank you for making special exception that allowed us to bring both our boys

Perfect Cottage

Loved everything about this property, the cottage was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The yard was well kept, beautifully manicured, with beautiful flowers. A nice fenced in yard for our doggies to run around free, an outdoor shower, a patio with a grill and a fire pit for an enjoyable laid back night. The cottage was very well stocked with every essential imaginable. Tommey and Joanna paid great attention to detail, and made sure to have everything one might forget and need when away from home. From the little basket of hygiene, and health essentials in the bathroom, to the towels for our fur babies, board games, adult board games, toys for children, a pack and play, a stroller, I mean everything imaginable to make their guests feel like they are right at home. Not to mention the extremely thoughtful gift bag that was left for us upon arrival was one of the warmest welcomes we have ever experienced from people we have never met, that meant a lot to us, our fur babies also appreciated the goodies. I can't express enough, how wonderful the entire experience was for us. The location was fabulous, we had Snug Harbor Marina literally in the back yard, it was very convenient to be able to wake up and take a short walk for coffee, breakfast, snacks, and a view while we waited for our order. The only downside was, it was too short of a stay, but we look forward to staying there again! We would highly recommend The South Wind Cottage @ Snug Harbor!

We had a great trip, this was perfect for us - perfect location, perfect weather, great hosts and their tips as well as the welcome gift for our about-to-be kindergartener was such a nice touch! We didn't bring our collie this time but maybe next time 😀 We definitely hope to come back to South Wind!! Thank you!!!
