Brother's Weekend Success

Getting my siblings together is a feat in itself but finding a place where all of our families can be comfortable is near impossible, except for this house. It had plenty of rooms/beds, I liked the layout of the house and docks. I would recommend watching your step on the docks, due to soft spots.

Great place on the lake!

The house and property were great. Conveniently located near Fun restaurants for an enjoyable weekend getaway. Didn’t get the house lockbox code from Karen until 3 hours before checkin which was fine if the VRBO description and instructions stated this. We rented a pontoon but couldn’t take it to the property since the depth of the lake in that area was too low. I’d go again though!

Nice place for a quick family getaway

Access was easy. Lots of parking. Deck areas are great. One room does not have a door. Closes to Walmart and Brookshire's for grocery runs.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

First, we did not receive check-in instructions in a timely matter because Karen (the contract person) "sent the information to the wrong number". I reached out at 2:42pm for the lock box code and received zero response until 3:39pm. Per the email we received from Evolve, check-in was at 3pm. We had to contact evolve directly to get a code for the lock box as we stood in the heat waiting. Second, we arrive to no dishwasher with a note taped to it with a bandaid, saying it was broken. Yes, a bandaid. We had 10 people in a house with no dishwasher and were not informed it was broken before arrival. I am sure you can imagine how fun that was hand washing dishes all weekend. The kitchen disposal also wasn't working. Third, the shower head in the master bathroom was taped together with masking tape. The shower head would not stay up and we had 5 people using that bathroom. Masking tape- really? Fourth, we purchased a box fan for the master bedroom, which we left there, because the room was incredibly warm all day/night. Feel free to keep it for the next guest. Fifth, there was a mouse in the kitchen. An actual mouse. It ran under the sink and when we opened the cabinets, we saw that there was a pack of mouse traps so apparently, it is an issue that hasn't been resolved. A few other things: we found several roaches inside, there was no hammock as advertised, I think a "fully stocked kitchen" is a bit of a stretch, per the listing. Ice maker in fridge also wasn't working. We reached out to evolve and the property manager before posting this but with no success (email we received was kicked back to us). I would take your money elsewhere, personally. I have pictures of all of the above issues as well if anyone has any questions to the accuracy of this review. We rented this property over July 4th weekend and paid a premium. I would never rent this place again.

Get Away From it All

My extended family and I thought this house was a hidden gem. It slept all of us comfortably, had plenty of space and the shaded porch was a surprise bonus.

Hard to contact and get ahold of even the day of and during. Found roaches in rooms and live bugs in the master bedroom bed. Advertised cable and didn’t have any. Pictures online are misleading to the true state of the home at least on the outside. The paddle boat didn’t work and was filthy would only turn left. Hammock wasn’t useable, covered in dried bird poop. We had a good time, but We would not recommend for the price and what they are advertising

Best get away ever

We needed a lake trip that felt long enough and was close but with the right views and vibes and this was it. Everyone has a bed! So much space! So much privacy! East lake access for adults and kids! So clean and has everything you need!!! Can’t wait to come back!!!
