Welcome to Deer Mountain Lodge, a cozy and secluded retreat nestled in the heart of the Black Hills. This charming cabin offers a perfect balance of comfort, space, and scenic beauty, making it ideal for families or groups seeking relaxation and adventure. With accommodations for up to 8 guests, the lodge features 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a spacious loft areaâa peaceful escape just minutes from top attractions like Terry Peak and Deadwood.
Step inside and you'll find an inviting open-concept living and kitchen area. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including an oven, stovetop, double-door refrigerator, dishwasher, and ample counter space. Adjacent to the kitchen, the living room offers cozy seating, a flat-screen TV, and a warm indoor fireplace, creating a welcoming space to unwind after a day of exploration.
Each of the two private bedrooms is furnished with a queen bed, tasteful decor, and ample storage space. The loft area provides additional sleeping accommodations with a queen bed and two futons, perfect for kids or extra guests. Whether you're cooking meals together, enjoying a game night, or curling up with a good book, the layout is designed for comfort and connection.
Step outside and take in the breathtaking view of Deer Mountain right from the property. Surrounded by towering pines and fresh mountain air, the outdoor space is ideal for morning coffee, evening conversations, or simply soaking in the natural beauty. The private balcony and patio offer serene spots to relax, and with garage access, your vehicles or gear will be well-protected year-round.

Cancellation policy
- We offer free cancellation or a 100% refund of the amount payable if you cancel 30 days before the check-in date. If canceling, we will charge a processing fee (to cover credit card processing and administrative fees).
- The garage and loft are located in a separate building approximately 50 to 75 feet from the main house.
- The primary renter is required to SIGN the Renter's Agreement before checking in. This document comprehensively outlines the rules, policies, and terms governing your stay with us. By signing, you acknowledge and commit to adhering to these regulations throughout your stay at our property.
1. If any issues arise during your stay, itâs essential to communicate with us promptly. Good communication between the guest and host is critical to ensuring a smooth and successful stay. You should respond to us (the hosts) within 24 hours when we reach out to resolve an issue. In certain situations, we may need to send our case manager to review the situation in person to fully address any concerns.
Maintenance aside from emergencies will only be able to be tended to during business hours, 8am-5pm.
2. It is a "must" to read the entire listing description and the house rules of our property. If, in this case, you DO NOT read over our listing description or house rules and are not comfortable with something that is clearly stated, we will uphold our cancellation policies.
3. The thermostat is locked to a certain temperature and couldn't be adjusted.
4. No unregistered guests/visitors unless preapproved
5. No shoes in the attic loft
6. No climbing on railing in the attic loft
7. No small children left unattended in the attic loft
8. Follow state laws when using fire pit
9. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10PM and always be respectful of the neighbors.
10. No parties or events unless previously organized in writing with the host. If thereâs evidence of a party or event, thereâll be an additional charge of $200

13. For noise complaints
13.1 If we receive any noise complaints from neighbors, a security guard will be called out to the property at a cost of $75 to guests for the first call-out.
13.2. If security is called a second time during your stay, you will be charged a $250 fee and be removed from the premises with no refund of your stay.
14. No smoking anywhere in this house. If we find evidence of smoking anywhere in the house, you will be charged $300 for extra cleaning.
15. For hot tub:
- The hot tub is regularly maintained after every guest's check-out. However, if you leave it partially filled with dirt and trash scattered around, a fee of $350 will be imposed to cover the cost of draining and refilling the hot tub, as charged by the hot tub company.
- For the safety and maintenance of the hot tub, please ensure it is re-locked after each use. Failure to do so will result in a $100 fine.
- Children are under constant supervision and are never left alone. Diving, jumping, or frequently entering and exiting the tub should be avoided. Any damages will be incurred by the guest.

2. Wash dishes (or start dishwasher)

* A $200 extra cleaning fee may be charged if the home is left unreasonably dirty and requires more work than usual to clean (for example, mud on the carpet). All damages will also be charged to the guest.
* Check-out time is scheduled for 10:00 am on the day of departure unless previously agreed upon with the host. If the guest is more than 90 minutes late checking out, the guest will be charged $200.
*Any costs incurred by the host as a result of a late check-out will be passed on to you.
