Located 25 steps from the Skykomish River in Baring, Washington, the 'South Fork Cabin' is the perfect destination for outdoorsy types looking to get away from the stresses of everyday life. This rustic vacation rental cabin offers 6 guests 3 queen beds between the bedroom and loft, and the opportunity to spend days swimming in the river or hiking along nearby trails. Enjoy the fire pit at night and access to hiking trails, skiing at Stevens Pass Resort, and many more outdoor adventures.

Vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams and hardwood floors welcome you inside this cozy cabin! Throw a log in the wood-burning stove to enhance the rustic feeling of the abode.
Relax on the comfortable couch in the living room. On rainy days, get lost in your favorite novel or break out a board game to play with your travel companions.
Your favorite place to spend your time will surely be the back deck. Sit outside and listen to the soothing sounds of the rushing Skykomish River.
After a day spent outdoors, head inside and whip up your favorite recipes in the fully equipped kitchen. The grill master in your group can use the charcoal grill to prepare a mouthwatering barbecue dinner.
You'll fall fast asleep at night in any of the 3 comfortable queen beds or out in the living room on the pullout bed. Wake up in the morning and start your day by taking a rejuvenating shower in the walk-in shower with a rain shower head.

Protected by mature trees, this cabin is in the perfect location to secluded from the rest of the world for the duration of your stay.
Those visiting in the summer may not want to leave the property! In mid to late summer, the water is calm enough for water activities such as swimming, floating, and kayaking. There's also a community beach near the cabin that's perfect for swimming and lounging.
Put on your hiking boots and travel 20 minutes to countless trails including Barclay Lake, Lake Serene, Bridal Veil Falls, Deception Falls, Wallace Falls, and Heybrook Ridge.
If you ever grow tired of outdoor activities, drive an hour to the east to visit the unique village of Leavenworth. This Bavarian-style mountain village offers a number of fun restaurants, shops, and wineries.

Fire!!

Unfortunately, we were unable to stay due to wildfires in the area in September 2022. The property owner contacted me the day prior to our arrival to let us know. We were very much looking forward to staying there & hope to rebook for 2023. He was very helpful, communication was great & we were refunded our money with no problems.

Right on the river oasis

Beautiful property sitting right on the river. The colors are amazing & it's fun to see an occasional tuber float by. We loved sitting on the back porch drinking coffee. So serene & peaceful. The inside is cute & comfortable. Great fit for my husband & I. Plus, our dog Moki.

Everything felt just right

This was such a nice escape. Even being close to Seattle, it felt completely immersed in the forest. We had many places to be together as well plenty of space throughout the property to seat quietly and contemplate the forest, mountains and the river.

Beautiful cozy cabin.

We loved this adorable cozy cabin tucked away in the woods! Perfect for a week of relaxing! Stocked kitchen great for making our own meals. Great for spending time on the river and relaxing on the patio and by campfire. Highly recommend!!!

Lovely cabin

Not only is this cabin super cute, but the location is absolutely gorgeous. The property manager is super communicative and has everything you might need for your trip fully stocked. They went above and beyond by suggesting other things to do in the area and checking in to make sure our trip was going well. Overall a great stay!

amazing views and sounds

What a wonderful little yet roomy cabin. The River view and sounds are amazing. The cabin is cool and charming and fully equipped with everything you need without being cluttered. The nearby trails were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen both on the west and east coast. If it ever goes on the market, I would love to buy it!

Perfect spot for a weekend writing retreat.

Winter Wonderland Stay

The cabin was adorable, the property is secluded and private and that view! It was everything we wanted. It snowed during our stay, we saw the mountains and river right outside the windows, it was absolutely gorgeous. And it was a close drive to stevens pass for sledding. Everything was fine until we went to bed. One of the beds had another person's hair in it. A lot of human hair. The other beds were clean. But that was off putting. We changed the bedding, and I contacted the person who oversees the stay, and she immediately recodified the situation and the company refunded us a portion of our fee the next day. I appreciated the quick response and accommodation. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and stay. I recommend this cabin, it is beautiful and a wonderful way to get away from the stress of life, even for just a little bit.

Always a great time!

As usual we had a great time at the cabin and are always up to come back! The property has a great view/access to the river and woods, and is isolated enough to disconnect from the world. The kids love everything about it too.

A pretty great place to stay

You never know how reality will compare with photos but this cabin underpromised and over delivered. Not only was it super cute and clean but it was right on the river and totally secluded from other properties.

Great Stay

The South Fork Cabin was perfect. It's small, but well appointed, with the two full beds in the loft there's plenty of sleeping space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, but the best part was the river was only 30 feet away out the front door. We had a campfire almost every night and listened to the water and the geese going by. A short drive back to Gold Bar had all the services we needed, ski rental shops and grocery store, but the food at Smokey's BBQ in Skykomish was excellent. Five stars for this stay.

Pictures don’t do it justice! So cute!

My kids, husband, dog, and I had a wonderful weekend staying at the cabin! The cabin was so cute and pictures don’t do it justice. Perfect for a family of 4! It was so nice to have a short drive back after a day of skiing at Stevens Pass. The river is so close and the kids and dog had fun exploring and racing around the cabin. The outside fire pit was a plus! Would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely Stay!

Such a beautiful space in a beautiful area! We used the wood burning stove as often as we could and took advantage of the amazing kitchen. Definitely would stay here again!

Awesome place by the river

We had the most relaxing and fun time in this quaint and cozy cabin. I liked it so much I asked if she was selling it soon. The layout is good for a family of 4 and the river Mountain View’s are stunning. I’m going to rebook as soon as I see an opening in the schedule.

A very pleasant stay

My husband and I came out out for a quick get away during the off season. Although the cabin is small, it is well laid out and feels roomy. It's very clean, well stocked, very quiet, and perfect for a rainy weekend. Despite the rain, we were able to get in a couple of nearby hikes and it was nice to come back and make a fire in the wood stove. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Mountain Retreat

Our family of 5 recently stayed at this property and was a perfect fit. It was exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. Absolutely gorgeous - inside and out! The river (and steps away beach area) provided endless entertainment for our 3 boys (ages 8, 9, and 11). The nearby hiking trails and FS roads provided for activity nearby when we needed it. We took a day trip to Leavenworth and even ventured to Lake Chalene for an afternoon swim. Everything was great with our stay. I highly recommend this property if looking in this area.
