We are always nervous about which hotel to stay at when it comes to NYC. Usually what is advertised is rarely the case. The Kimpton Theta was even better. From the moment we got there, Davon who works at the front desk felt he wasn’t sure of the room we reserved was what we needed…so on his own Davon upgraded us to a better room with any cost difference! WHAT? Really? Who does that now a days? When we couldn’t find a taxi to help us, the porter immediately came out and helped us with flagging one down (since the drivers didn’t respond to us. And then Rafael (at the front door area) gave us ideas and preferences to be cost effective in regards to getting to the airport. And then to make everything else even better, every day the housekeeping did an amazing job of restoring and cleaning our room. Never a problem and they were always courteous and friendly with such hospitality. And the coffee bar area who works there in the morning was kind and helpful.
OVERALL, when we come back to Manhattan we only have one place we will book in the future, Kimpton Theta IHG Hotel. Thank you for a pleasant experience —we will tell people where to stay!
