Excellent place to be
Was one of the best place of the category that we know there. It is in the area of a nearby typical Chinese quarter. The 10' walking distance to the train station is quite reasonable and the staff was particularly helpful and empathetic.

Clean and good location
Hotel is located in Geylang and is considered the red light district of Singapore. So I expected it to be a not too good of a location. However was pleasantly surprised, the location is pretty quiet and clean, had no problem at all with the location. It was a perfect place as a base for sightseeing and great value. Clean and comfortable bed and clean washroom. The place was just newly renovated. It was a small room but it's all we needed. Close to the bus stop, walk to Geylang and turn right, go to the bus stop in front of 7/11. Take bus 21 or 26 and get off two bus stops later, then walk back a few meters to the LRT on Kallang. From there you can go to all major centers and attractions. Transportation is really cheap. The only downer is you have to pay 5 dollars for 2 hrs of internet.

There are a lot of buses that go to the different attractions. We used SAEX, went to see the bird park in the morning then they took us to the zoo for the afternoon, then walked across the street for the night safari. Then took SAEX to our starting point at night.

The room was generally well kept
The room was generally well kept and clean. The place is quite noisy as far as hearing anyone and everyone in the halways coming and going. In that sense there isn't so much privacy and sleep is likely to be disturbed. The location is definitely a part of Singapore with a lot more 'character' which makes it more affordable. There's many local eateries close at hand. The metro system is about a 10-15 min walk away. Overall quite good for a quick stopover if convenience for accessing downtown isn't of concern.

Have stayed previously with another
Have stayed previously with another Fragrance Hotel chain opted to try a fresh one as was closer to where my wife and I had friends. Great hotel in a busy area walking distance to local MRT, bus service. We walked to local eatries for our breakfasts and other meals, great choice of asian foods. Will be happy to go back again.

Surprisingly good hotel. From
Surprisingly good hotel. From other reviews we were expecting a possibly grungy hotel in a dubious area, but found the room to be nice and clean and with usable facilities. The area has many low-cost places to eat nearby. It is a 10 minute walk to the MRT station to get access to most parts of Singapore. The hotel is definitely OK for a (Singapore) budget price.

Overall the room is clean. But
Overall the room is clean. But the toilet absolutely need an update. The location is about 10min walk away from the Kallang MRT. It's located at the Red Light district, however, we don't see any impropriate people walking in and out from the hotel. So it's still ok for family with children to stay at this hotel. There is no rest room at the lobby of the hotel. The receptionist are not very friendly to the guests after you checked out from the hotel.
