Olissippo Castelo

Hotel très bien placé (en hauteur), propre. Surprise au petit déjeuner, il n'y avait pas assez de chaises (nous étions 4) et des tables carrées ne possédaient que deux chaises... Nous avons attendu 25 mn... Accueil : superbe et professionnel sauf au petit-déjeuner : pas de réponse à nos bonjours et pas d'amabilité. On nous a fait payer le petit déjeuner alors que sur votre site elle était comprise dans le prix. Merci de nous informer à ce sujet. Nous avons visité avec plaisir cette spendide ville !

L'hôtel est très bien situé car dans le vieux Lisbonne quartier de l'Alfama, et à 2 pas du Castelo (Château) Sao Jorges. Le personnel est très agréable, le petit déjeuner est succulent et varié. Avec tous ces paramètres je suis sûr que vous passerez un séjour très agréable. Patricia

Hôtel très calme avec une jolie vue sur la ville. Personnel accueillant, efficace et polyglotte. il est facilement accessible avec le tramway 12, à 5 mn à pied des restaurants de l'Alafama et des boites de fado. Il est possible que, si les voisins manque de discrétion on soit gênés. Chambre très grande et confortable. Il faudrait de temps en temps passer l'aspirateur sous les lits mais, je chipote.

Hotelli on siisti ja henkilökunta ystävällistä. Aamiainen on runsas ja monipuolinen eli erittäin hyvä. Koska sijainti on Lissabonin vanhassa kaupungissa, en voi suositella hotellia liikuntarajoitteisille.

We wanted to visit a place in Lisbon that offered the real "feel" of the ancient city, a sampling of good food, and touring of nearby historical sites. Luckily, we found the Olissippo Castelo. This gem of great quality, snuggled into an intimate part of the historic Amalfa section near the Castelo de Sao Jorge, fit our plans perfectly. Moreover, the neighborhood contained great art (Colorida Gallery), distinctive jewelry, Portuguese crafts of all kinds, and authentic Fado. in addition, our delightful, week-long stay at the hotel was crowned by excellent accommodations and service; among the best we have ever experienced.

The hotel is located just below the walls of the Castelo de Sao Jorge and the rooms located on levels 2 and 3 (for Americans that's floors 3 and 4) have patios with 2 lawn chairs and a table. We had a week long stay on level 3, our room was lovely with a seating area and sleeping area, plus the patio. The view was great! The hotel staff was helpful and great to talk to. They could make dinner recommendations, sightseeing recommendations, and important to my husband and me, how to get tickets to the Portugal v Turkey soccer game! They all spoke English very well. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, the Castelo which is near Alfama and is a 7 minute walk down to the Baixa (downtown) where there are plenty of restaurants and a few train stations. We enjoyed the location, close to the action but not in it. I would caution that the hotel is up a hill, so the quickest way up and down is via stairs. We didn't mind, and the stairs are manageable for all shapes and sizes. However, I would suggest for people with a lot of luggage taking a taxi to/from the airport. We had a wonderful trip - I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely small boutique hotel. My room was on the top floor (4th) with a wall of windows facing the beautiful view of Lisbon to the sea. The room was large with a sitting room and marble bathroom. Lovely furnishings and immaculate. Great breakfast, but only bar food - sandwiches and omlettes. Nearest restaurant is not close, but interesting location just below the old castle in old town. I would stay there again.

Sehr schönes und gut gelegenes (Alfama) Hotel. Nur die Wände zwischen den Zimmern könnten besser gedämmt sein.

Great quiet location; large, comfortable room; nice breakfast buffet; helpful, accommodating staff; would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very quiet but helpful when asked. Sitting on top of the hill and having to walk or take tram #28 up or down was exhilerating and crazy..in a good way. Wear your walking shoes.
