Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel, Warsaw

Stayed for 3 nights (31st March 2011) while having a small leg operation and visiting family. Nice helpful staff and excellent buffet breakfasts. Unfortunately I had to move rooms immediately I arrived on the Thursday due to drilling and hammering noise. Apparently they were refurbishing the fifth floor. More horrendous noise in the Saturday morning but I was going out for the day so figured it would have stopped by the time I returned that night. I did mention it at the desk on checkout. Surely a schedule of work would enable them to avoid booking clients in to rooms right by the noise? Such a shame as otherwise a good city centre place to stay, clean, fairly standard sort of rooms plus saunas, jacuzzis and gym area (which I only went to see only to be told by the doctor later not to use them after my operation).

Excellent hotel for the business traveller. I am sure I will stay there again.

The hotel has undergone recent refurbishment but does not live up to its four-star rating. The air conditioning in our room was noisy and a neighbouring room occupied by a friend had dirty walls. The room we stayed in did not have a safe and we had to use a cumbersome reception depositry. The hotel lobby has insufficient seating contributing to an unwelcoming transient feel. During checking out the reception clerk obviously felt that her recived phone call was more important than customers needing to leave in a hurry - she didn't even bother to apologise

The breakfast buffet is probably one of the finest I've ever seen. Incredible array of choices, and all laid out elegantly. Room was comfortable and soundproof. Two complimentary bottles of water were in the room. I'd just arrived late, via a 10 hour train ride (with no air-conditioning and during a heat wave). I really appreciated the touch. Huge comfortable bath tub (but be careful, as it is slippery).

I HAVE STAYED IN MANY 4* HOTELS AROUND EUROPE, BUT THIS HOTEL IS THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF ALL. GREAT STAFF, FRIENDLY, EXCELLENT BAR, RESTAURENT AND SUPER BREAKFAST TABLE. I WILL RETURN.

it was expected for a better location of the hotel. also it is very unmodern, old style hotel inside - like furniture, etc. even non-smoking room smelled like smoking. just breakfast was excellent.

I enjoyed my stay at Jan III Sobieski. It is a busy hotel, but also friendly and efficient. From Warsaw Central Station it is a straight walk of about one kilometre along Al. Jerozolimskie. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the buffet breakfast (which was included in the very reasonable price) was first-rate. There are a few restaurants nearby for those who do not wish to venture further afield for dinner. (The Old Town is probably about three kilometres away.) I could not really find fault with Jan III Sobieski, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly central and reasonably priced hotel in Warsaw.
