Casa San Blas Boutique Hotel

I had two taxi drivers and neither could find it. I refused to pay the second driver because he said he knew where it was. I stopped in the Cocoa Leaf |Museum and they walked with me to an internet cafe and we finally found it on line, but no telephone number listed. They walked with me to an alley and found it. Not a bad place at all, but very difficult to find.

If you wanna feel like being in at home in Peru, perhaps you should stay at this hotel. Everything is just perfect. Before I book a room I watched some videos at the internet about Casa San Blas. Everyone has the same opinion! Staff are really atencious, great food, comfortable rooms and the best location.

This is a charming hotel in the San Blas area, with nice sized rooms that include a lovely breakfast, internet connection and comfortable beds,but don't count on sleeping in! I would have rated it a 5 for location, but fireworks went off in San Blas every morning starting at around 7 am(sounded like they were in the bathroom). Church bells rang at 4 am, and the housekeeping staff clanged and banged into a closet next to room 104 starting some mornings at 4:30 am. Morning noise was an issue with the ground floor rooms but the hotel more than made up for this by a wonderful staff that seemed to sincerely care about their guests. Oxygen is also available for those affected by the altitude.

The hotel is super clean, and the staff are really helpful, especially a girl named [...] - she is super professional, and gave us lots of info from taxi rates to the best money exchange location, and she arranged a great day trip for us to see Sacred Valley. We are happy that we met her; she is usually in morning shift.

The hotel was very clean and had a good shower. The only problem was that there was no heat even in the winter. On the other hand, it never got really cold. The staff was fantastic in taking care of all needs, arranging transportation (including one free trip from/to airport). Cusco is above 10,000 feet and many visitors have a problem with altitude. The hotel provides coca tea, oxygen, and even a pill when needed. Transportation arrangements at any time of day or night were most helpful, as well as the friendly advice given by the staff. The taxi drivers they arranged were also most cordial and helpful, even to the point of lending a few solis when we were short. Cusco was a friendly place and no one tried to take advantage of us in any context. We should have prepared for a longer stay. This was one of the most interesting and challenging trips we have taken anywhere.
