Tram and bus stops are located right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurants within a block or two. Major museums, flower markets, The Amsterdam Music Theatre, pedestrian shopping district are all within walking distance.

Excellent location
On checking into hotel after booking a smoking room, I was given a non smoking room. Other than that everything was perfect!

Great location on Amsterdam's Rembrantplein
I have used this hotel a number of times. The location on Rembrantplein is excellent. Good quality room. I particularly like the rooms on the higher floors facing the Amstel - which are also quieter.

Trip to amsterdam
NH Caransa Hotel couldn't be better located than in the centrum of Amsterdam. With a room where we could have a nice view of the Rembrandtplein made it even better. Right in the center it was easy to get to anywhere. View minutes walk to The Dam Square. With Tram 9 right in front of the hotel you could get to Amsterdam central station where it could take you to anywhere in Holland. we caught the train to and from schiphol airport. We had a pleasant week and are looking forward to go again anytime soon.Only we regret the airport parking in Newark. [...]

Belfast Belle
excellent location
Excellent location, tram stopped right outside hotel door. Was able to get a train from airport to central station and a tram straight to hotel (they run v.regularly about every 6minutes and late at night). Able to walk to Dam Square, flower market and the red light district was in walking distance but a little further. Trams going to Ann Frank House, Van Gogh Museum etc were outside hotel. A little noisy as we stayed at the front-we benefited from a lively atmosphere and view of Rembrandt Square and if windows were closed you can hear very little noise-besides who sleeps in Amsterdam?! Plenty of very nice bars around hotel providing nice and reasonable food (breakfast). I have recommended the hotel to friends and would def stay there again. Staff friendly and iron/ironing board can be requested and will remain in your room for duration of stay. For the girls...great hair dryer in room and plenty of light and windows : )

Tip: buy day ticket for trams as you can use them for 24hrs and may be too tired after a day of sight seeing to walk even short distances! Enjoy!!

Good Location with Limited Service
Nice hotel. The price was very high for a small room. Extremely high price in fact. It looked 3 star at best. There is no fitness center Breakfast was no breakfast included in the room.
