Hotel San Marino Plaza

For the price and the location we were very happy with this hotel. Breakfast lunch and drinks very good.We ate dinner out every evening. We would go back again.

Hi We stayed 8 nights over Christmas and new year on an all inclusive deal (i.e. included food and booze). We had an oceanfront suite and the view was awesome. The room was nice and clean and spotless every day. I ate breakfast and lunch there. That was fine. We ventured out for dinner. The facilities are nice. Two things... It is by a busy beach and noisy They have terrible "doof-doof" music playing on the audio system at the upper pool all day - making it enjoyable. Otherwise, all good and VERY close to many bars, restaurants, massage, etc. I would go back. AW

Great location if you like being in the romantic zone and on the beach without being too far away from andale's however the hotel is rundown and needs to be updated. It was impossible to open the lock to my door on the first try and therefore really not fun when stumbling home from andale's. Thought I would give it a try and liked the fact security would not allow anyone from the outside in however I did not have a security box and therefore did not ask for my room to be cleaned often.

Clean and efficient! Good breakfast and lunch but eat out for dinner.

We love the location and come back year after year. The staff is very friendly (front desk and housekeeping). I like that they have a safe in the room (extra fee). No hairdryer or refrigerator in the room, but we don't care. We love the location and it is clean! Very close to many great restaurants and shopping and right on the beach!

Let's be honest, San Marino is not a place for people looking for luxury. You can find very inexpensive rates and definately worth every penny you paid for. Location is brilliant. The staff is very friendly and the service is great and personal, makes you feel like in home away from home. They have renovated a lot since last time we went. 42" LCD tvs in the Jr. Suites, new bathrooms and WIFI in the restaurant area. I stayed in EP without meals since there are many great options to eat within walking distance. Try Café de Olla and the Blue Shrimp, are just amazing. We will definately come back next year.

We stayed for 8 days in the ocean front junior suite,the hotel staff are very friendly and responded quickly to any requests. Our room was clean, beds are nothing like home but tolerable. Breakfasts were very good and the other meals needed some adjusting but we were satisfied overall. I was under the impression they had organized kids activities but that did not happen. My five year old loved the shallow pool since she could be a little more independent.

This hotel was clean, spacious and well-priced. The service was above average and the food was edible. The all-inclusive drink/food service was good. The in-house travel agent was also above average when booking tours and exursions. The only down-sides we found were: the pillows were either hard or old and lumpy; the pool area could use some definite improvements and we were pestered by a "time shark" guy on a daily basis to the point of harrassment.

This property does not welcome LGBT guests, and in fact, are hostile.
