Hotel Encino

I stayed here for a week just after Thanksgiving. I arrived on Saturday, fairly early so the only room available was on the lowest floor-#108- facing the west & flea market. This made for alot of street noise early in the mornings and late at night. The hot water did not work for a day and half until i asked them to fix it. I asked them to move me to a river view room and they did for the last few days-room #323- which was 99% better except for a moldy smell in the newly renovated bathroom. This was a top floor corner room with wrap around balcony which you could see the ocean from the balcony! It is a cool looking hotel which maybe could use some maintenance, but clean. It was busy with Mexican vistors on the weekend but pretty quite during the weekdays. I loved the location near the River Cafe/Cafe Roma/flea markets. The TV had many chanels and the picture was good, but only 5 or so english chanels. The beds were relatively comfortable. The skydeck pool and sun deck were neat and provided great views. Maid forgot to clean my room one day and I had to ask her to the next day. It was a good deal for the price i paid. Front desk folks were great.

THIS IS A NICE, OLDER, NO FRILLS HOTEL LOCATED CLOSE TO EVERYTHING IN THE OLDER PART OF PUERTO VALLARTA. I SHALL RETURN.
