Barcelo Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

First time to stay at the Barcelo, family loved it, will definitely be back.

Very good hotel, beautiful tropical paradise. Mountains, jungle & ocean, you have everything there. Hotel staff extremely nice. I loved my vacation there. Great value! Great food, beautiful rooms - suites with gorgeous views. The only thing I was missing was nice clear ocean. Ocean water was a little dirty in front of the hotel, it wasn't clear. I hoped I could snorkel in front of the hotel, but you can't, that's the only negative, everything else was just perfect!! there are boats in front of the hotel that take you snorkeling, and it's really cheap - you can negotiate the price.

Of the beaten path of the city and located across from an excellent zoo. Barcelo was a nice change. The villagerrs of MISMALOYA and their little fishing village were super nice. As we dont tend to stay at the resort the locals hooked us up on nice fishing trips and the the zoo is walking disstance from the reorts entry was a Must See Adventure playing with tiger cubs and monkeys ,plus feeding all the non carniverous animals as you walked. The resort was Excellent acommodations clean and lots of choices, food ,drinks ,swimming and enertainmentSnorkeling was our only disapointment to green and to many jelly fish otherwise Very good trip..

We stayed in Barcelo in Cabo and it was awsome, beautiful place with great food. We decided to go to Barcelo one more time after the big successes, the number one thing that disappointed us was the FOOD. We tried the resutants and we tried the buffet, just no-good :( we did enjoyed the nature around the resort:) since we were looking for an adult trip...we will not go back because of the food and because it's mainly desighned for family with kids. Have fun kids!

Room was beautiful. Had a club premium master suite. Sand in front of the hotel was coarse. Pool areas was great. The service and food in the restaurants was excellent.

We had a wonderful time at the Barcelo. Very friendly and attentive staff, beautiful setting away from the central PV, and excellent excursions. Our only suggestion is that for an all-inclusive resort, internet service should have been included because it was expensive at $16/day. On the other hand, it gave us time as a family to be unplugged which made it all the more relaxing!

I, along with all the other guests that I spoke to, were all mislead about internet availability. It is not FREE as the website alludes. It's supposedly not even a good service, so why pay for it? If you need internet access, stay somewhere else that provides it FREE. Our room on the 5th floor of tower two was loud from the Cantina bar music. We were awakened every night. We asked to be moved, but they supposedly didn't have any rooms available for us. The food was pretty good. The room was bigger than anticipated.

We had a wonderful time at this resort. We were there for a wedding and I must say that the meal provided for the wedding was one of the best surf and turf I have ever had. The staff are all very friendly. There was problems with obtaining lounge chairs around the pool area. We called them towel wars! But, all in all it was a lovely resort.

Spent 4 nights @ Barcelo with husband and 3 kids. The hotel rooms and the staff were both excellent, across the board. The food was good and there was adequate variety. We actually enjoyed the buffet restaurant. The hotel grounds were beautiful and clean. Our children were welcome in all areas, but the place was definitely not overrun with kids. We heard that the zoo across the street from the hotel is worth the time, and that the evening excursions into town were well organized, safe, and fun. Negatives: 45 minute, $50 taxi ride from the airport; bathroom floors in public areas are incredibly slippery; smallish beach area with moderately aggressive peddlers. Also, snorkeling gear is not included for the beach area, only the pool. This was unclear in the literature, and was a disappointment for our 9 year old daughter. Otherwise, our kids had a great time (we did not utilize the Barcy Club activities).
